This whole thing weirds me out, as I’ve maxed it out at 5k ultrawide and it hovers between 70-90fps for me. I seriously don’t get it. Why do I see that when everyone else seems to barely hit 60 on monster specs?

It definately looks like they went balls deep for single core leaving all the other cores standing around twiddling their thumbs.
Also, the shader caching remind some of playing hacked Wii games via emulator.

Rogue Squadron II is bad for it and stutters like crazy even on high end machines. You can try and alleviate it with precompiling shaders but unless I'm doing something wrong it still happens a bit. |

It's saying I need to return to base to move forward with the investigations into.. Clayface, Freeze and Quinn But I'm not seeing any way to actually progress them. Edit- never mind just completely missed it. |

Took the plunge on this and I'm quite enjoying it to be honest. It's got a cracking opening hour or so, some really nice storytelling and the combat is perfectly serviceable thus far. Playing as Robin.
My biggest gripe is the Batcycle, which is shite. I've taken to repelling across the rooftops like Spider-Man instead, which I swear is quicker, it's certainly more fun.
No surprise to see it's CPU bound, which explains why they went all in on resolution on consoles, as it's so rarely GPU limited by comparison. Been playing the Series S version in bed (poorly with a cold) and it's a fair bit more stable to play than the big boy versions, it's pretty much locked for the duration, odd traversal moment aside, still has frame pacing issues mind.

Glad you took the plunge as well. I was away with work this week, so took my son's Series S and played GK on that. Back home and have gone back to Series X. Thankfully, I have no performance issues on either machine, but I do appreciate playing it on 4K. Also, the bike actually is awful. But I have unlocked all the drones and an slowly getting my Gotham Knights skills. Two of my guys have them and I'll be unlocking now tonight.

For those with PS+ Premium a one hour trial has been added to the game trials list today, little unusual when most trials are a couple of hours but maybe that'll be enough?

Well I played the trial, I'll play it when it's "free" on PS+ or maybe a tenner at most. If you'd said I was playing a BC PS4 title I wouldn't have been surprised. Fuck knows why it's 30 FPS too.
The Batbike seems slower than a pizza delivery moped, it constantly tells you how to drift but you're going so slow you don't need to, at least in the first hour.
A really big missed opportunity to reboot the Batman games after Arkham Knight.

Apparently it's 30fps because it's super CPU limited, they just coded it terribly because it plays terribly on god tier PCs too. At this point because of the way it was done I doubt they're going to or could implement a 60fps mode. |

Yeah I had a look ages ago for PS5 and they had some but no delivery and not in my local store. Probably for the best as for me it would have been one of those spur of the moment jobs I never play.

I’m really enjoying this after getting it cheap recently. It’s Batman without err.. Batman. Maybe not quite as high as the very peaks of that franchise but it look good, story is good, combat is the grappling, combo, evade and counter you know so well. Happy I bought it.

It's not bad, I enjoyed it. The story missions and campaign in general are pretty decent, as are the visuals at times, especially the interiors. Didn't mind the combat either.
The open world stuff is basically shite though, it's just very lifeless and dull for the most part. The less said about the Batcycle the better.
If you're a fan of the IP especially then I'd say the campaign is definitely worth a punt for a tenner, more so if you have a mate to plough through it with.

It would appear that I am going to be waiting for GK to appear on PS+ at some point after all, just got a phone call from Currys to say that due to stock issues they had to cancel the order.
Guess everyone under the Sun piled in and their website fucked up.
