I just got a pay rise because I kicked off about being asked to line manage people coming in on nearly as much money as me. Belligerence FTW. Ha! I earn loads more than my line manager |

I suppose it depends if you are literally a manager whose job it is to manage specialists or a specialist who has been saddled with management. Being the latter, if you're on more money than me, you're better than me so manage yourself.

Thanks Jambo. This will be an immediate and massive mental health boost should I be awarded a position. I detest what my current job has become - and what’s sadder is I used to enjoy it. Oh I'm sure a lot of us have been down that same alley. Hopefully you get what you're looking for that would be an amazing Christmas gift. Actually I hope everyone on this forum gets what they're looking whether before the end of the year or the year coming, it's been a tough one. Well said |
