You do not need to be that accurate. Dodging seems far more important than aiming.

Ah okay. I haven’t tried quake, just bioshock, Skyrim and doom. I don’t have a problem with 3rd person perspective for some reason.

The hitboxes on Quake enemies are pretty big - bigger than the models

There's very slight aiming assistance for Quake, as well.

I’ll probably buy it with it being so cheap. Cheers.

Also, aiming in general for Bioshock is poor. Its very stiff. I played through that game qith an Xbox One pad and it took almost the entire game to adapt to the aiming.
And then they completely fixed it for the sequel.

Hoping my Cruis'n Blast has arrived when I get back home. Been looking forward to this for ages. Looks just like and shinier San Fran rush game.

The reviews for Eastward that I have seen sound promising.
Graphically the game looks exactly how I think games in the PS1 generation would have looked if everything hadn’t gone 3D. It looks absolutely stunning artistically.

Is anyone as hyped as me for TMNT Shredder's Revenge? I just got Scott Pilgrim in the sale, which is nice, but TMNT and the Konami arcade is such a massive nostalgia trip for me I can't wait. I've watched the trailers a few times and I might even pre-order digitally, even though that's daft.
I also got A Short Hike which is pretty nice, although it does stress me out a bit being lost all the time.

I just gave it a quick whirl and the latency is so so bad using Sony xm3s. Like probably close to a second bad.

It also stops you connecting more than 2 controllers, which probably isn’t an issue for nearly everyone, who’s playing 4 player local with headphones?
No mic support either.
But aside from that and the INSANE LATENCY I suppose it’s a step forward. Nearly as feature complete as the Vita now.

I guess maybe their excuse about Bluetooth headphones interfering with the Joycons (or the other way around) wasn't entirely untrue? No idea how their tech actually works, but there must be some reason why this has taken them so long.
Aside from Nintendo just being Nintendo.

Classic Nintendo...
Although in fairness I have a pair of XM3 like gremmi and they're such a pain in the balls to get to pair automatically with my TV that I pretty much just leave them paired to that all the time instead of to individual devices.

I'll try with my XM4 when I get home. Maybe it will be better with a Switch Lite because (presumably) its Bluetooth isn't needed for joycons?

I also got A Short Hike which is pretty nice, although it does stress me out a bit being lost all the time. Just roll with it. The island feels way bigger when you're lost, but soon enough you'll know it like the back of your hand and will navigate it far quicker. I loved that game.

Update: I tried it on the Lite with Sony WXM4s, and it was fine. Didn't get the latency issues, audio quality was fine. So I dunno whether it's a result of the Lite not needing the Bluetooth for other things, or something else going on. But yeah, no complaints here.

I actually only got to try a bluetooth adaptor on the Switch a couple of weeks ago, and it did the job - there was a bit of audio latency but it wasn't bad enough to be a dealbreaker imo. The only annoying thing was the adaptor sticking out at the bottom of the console. So yeah, this news is welcome, as long as the latency is not worse than it was on the adaptor. Though I guess it's obvious now why they've taken this long to add it, as it's clearly not a perfect implementation.

Tried to play Eastward on the train to work but it needed a WiFi connection to check the date / time.
Hadn’t preordered a game on Switch before and I was really annoyed, mainly with myself because of course it would do that to verify it.

Definitely announcing N64 virtual console it would seem. They better have a performance mode else those rose tinted specs are in for a shock

The N64 library is gonna be a small one, for sure. There are too many games on that platform have major licencing issues, with multiple companies laying claim to individual titles. At best we'll see around 20, and half of those will have aged poorly at best.
I wonder if we'll see Gameboy Advance games instead. It seems more fitting for Switch and there's a ton of quality games that are still easily obtainable for such a service.
My main hope for tomorrow is for some news on this long awaited Animal Crossing update.

I'd be keen for Blast Corps and F-Zero. Hopefully they will give things a new lick of paint because so many N64 games have aged very, very badly.

I can't think of many notable N64 games that haven't already been updated or released as part of a collection. I loved Blast Corps, but that was part of Rare Replay.
I guess F-Zero? Diddy Kong Racing?
