I don't think so and he's always been the trickiest for me as well. Can't remember if I said, but that shrine you were talking about where you used weapons to complete the circuit is the one outside the Gerudo town. I still had to do it that way for one of them
The shrine puzzle where you have to hold the snow ball in front of the disc when it glows (very cool) took me too long to work out. First I tried firing ice arrows/rod at it, then throwing a snowball, then making a really big one by rolling it down the hill into it and using the time stop thing to launch them into it. In the end you just have to hold it up in front of it. I may be thick, but I had fun working it out and making snowballs
The one with the water channels on the left side?

For the first one? I can't remember the specifics - there's a load of power lines around the room and you have to use various boxes and those small metal barrels to link them. I used a shield and a sword. I think most of the Gerudo ones are electricity based
The snow one is on the on highlands in the Gerudo desert, near where the Divine Beast ends up after you beat it

There was one with a bunch on connectors, a water channel and a crank that I cheesed with metal weapons. Got to love the physics being, well, physics.

I can't imagine starting this again for years. I've put a lot of time in so far but there's still so much ground to cover. I'd miss my two and a bit stamina wheels and being able to fly jump Good luck with fighting off the urge when it inevitably comes

That final memory/photo - the picture is so low quality and lacking in any landmarks that I'm under the impression you're suppose to logic it out that it has to be somewhere between Hyrule Field and Kakariko Village
Zelda would have had to show the picture to Impa on the way to where she left Link to sleep as she left the slate there
Am I missing a subtle clue? (not fishing for one, just making sure I'm not missing something)
Other than that, I got curious about Hyrule Castle so went in for a look. Just stormed the front and smashed any Guardians I came across (had about 30 Ancient Arrows). Parrying the beams isn't too difficult either. Made it as far as (what I assume) is the final encounter and explored the castle instead. That whole area is amazing. Sharp intake of breath when I got the shield! Is it like the Master Sword or does it break? Haven't used it yet in case it breaks for good
Think I've got 94 shrines now. Just been trotting about on Zelda's horse trying to find this last memory. Also got Ganon's horse

Does anyone else dye their Rubber Armour yellow, firstly to signify electrical resistance, and secondly because it is the closest thing you'll get to a Zelda style Starfleet engineering uniform?

Did Zelda even put Link in the bath? I can't remember anymore. That would rather assume she did something other than whinge about things

The final memory shows that after Zelda runs her antivirus on the Guardians, a couple of Sheikah warriors show up at the scene. She tells them to take Link to the Shrine and (presumably) then marches off straight to the castle to start her century-long staring match with Ganon.

Thanks to some careful nudging from Danno I ended up back at the place I thought it was but just hadn't found the exact spot
In hindsight, I had written off the mountain in the background because it was obscured by mist, which I took to mean it wasn't important, when that was the actual landmark I was suppose to be looking for!
I've completed 105 shrines, with one puzzle shrine I've got the item for but can't work out the solution to, so I think I'm ready to sort Ganon out now
I also just got the Dark Link costume and the monster masks which are ace. I'm sure there's still plenty of things to find but hopefully I can do that post game

Whatever you do don't get the Majora's Mask, it ruins the game.

Isn't that DLC? I haven't got that. I rarely ever do DLC as it usually feels tacked on and once I've finished a game, I tend to want to put it down rather than draw it out
I think I'll leave BotW after Ganon and then come back and do the DLC and other stuff when the next one gets announced/I feel like going back to it

Champions Ballad is worthwhile even if the final reward is a bit ... silly, to put it mildly

Yeah the reward of Champion's Ballad is playing Champion's Ballad, I really enjoyed that

I... couldn't do it. I'm not done with my time in Hyrule yet. I've found a couple more shrines, so that's 109. Looked it up and there's 120 so still quite a few to find. I want a break so I can come back fresh and do some serious exploring but it'll feel weird not playing it after so long and I don't want to leave the world so I've ordered Age of Calamity!

It was actually finding a couple more shrines and then climbing to the top of the fish thing at Zora's Domain just in time to catch the sunset. Standing there watching it with my Sheik scarf fluttering in the wind convinced me I was not finished yet

Have been thinking about starting a second play through for over a year now.
Have got covid as of 2 days ago so I'm not going anywhere for 8 days...

I started my second playthrough at the beginning of a mental breakdown where I barely left the bedroom for a fortnight. It was very good company

First time I played it had taken a week off work. Played it every day until completion, which took 95 hours. 8 days is plenty.

Getting the itch for a third playthrough, but I might just watch some YouTube highlights and wait for BotW2

I started a second play through on Tuesday. One of my boys got bored and started playing it again and that made me want to play it again. Only did the four shrines on the plateau so far, but my god it is so...magical!

I started again about a month ago and then left it for a bit but have done loads more recently. About 88 shrines, just finished the divine beasts and got most the memories. There's *still* loads to do though. Absolutely love it

I've gone back again to do the DLC which I half did. Completely lost on where I got up to so having to use a guide. Still insane I've pumped 85+ hours into this and still finding new things to do.

First impressions of Age of Calamity are pretty good. They've nailed the presentation; everything is ripped straight out of BotW

Age of Calamity is a lot of fun. I don't think I'd play a normal Warriors game off the back of this but the novelty of playing as characters from BotW and seeing so much more of them is brilliant. I already like Zelda more because she's actually doing something in this. Just seeing what they've done with them in terms of combat is great. Plenty of cutscenes too Wasn't expecting to be playing as Divine Beasts but they certainly live up to their name

The fall of Hyrule Castle is brutal, although Impa is OP and ploughed through about 20 Guardians no sweat. They also got Zelda's Lullaby in there

The HUD being on both ends of the screen is just asking for neck strain
