I can't find any evidence of me blocking anything on this page, but that's still two empty posts from MolarAm. What am I looking for?

That’s probably your adblocking. It’s two images.

On mobile, this forum blocks twitter posts. It's the other way around for me: embedded tweets are fine on mobile, but don't appear on desktop.

The things I put up aren't really embedded Twitter posts, they're just screenshots someone took of social media posts.
Anyway, the point was that he's continuing to make statements about this, when he would be better served by shutting the fuck up.

It was the Disconnect addon that blocked the images. As I have separate ad-blocker and tracker-blocker I don't know if this addon gives me anything still, so I just removed it.

www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/jan/19/rust-film-set-shooting-criminal-charges-alec-baldwinHe getting charged with involuntary manslaughter, along with the armorer. The AD who actually grabbed the gun and gave it to Baldwin has agreed a plea deal so he's getting 6 months probation straight off. Must have sold the other two down the river. The attorneys are desperately aiming for some jail time, even suggesting they could get 5 years. I'd be surprised if they managed it, or even get to a trial.

One of my friends works in film and media, just in sound design, but she knows a few UK film gun handlers from things she's worked on They're pretty flabbergasted at how lax the gun procedure's are in the US
In UK productions you can't just tell people a gun is empty, it's mandatory to show the magazine and chamber is empty (or has blanks) everytime a gun is handed over. And nobody else but the handler and the performer is really supposed to touch the gun.
In the US a verbal confirmation is enough for some productions, apparently.

Not a massive surprise given how lax the gun laws are everywhere else.

Tbh, despite what they think, gun handling and attitudes towards safety are pretty fucking lax in the States full stop.

I haven't followed this at all, so maybe there's something I don't know. But on the surface it seems a bit weird to charge the actor if they were just using a gun that was supposed to be safe.

He was also a producer, I assume that's where culpability lies.

It's his capacity in both roles. His role as a producer in creating a set full of safety oversights, and also as an actor he should have checked the gun before pulling the trigger. I guess that's why Baldwin is saying he didn't pull the trigger... to try and get around that part.

More of a corporate manslaughter type thing than an actual murder as such

Whenever this first happened I felt a bit bad for Baldwin, but since then he has acted really shitty. Even saying he doesn't feel bad about what happened when asked..!? He doesn't feel guilty at all. Acting like he had absolutely nothing to do with it, deflecting everywhere. Fuck him. He shot somebody dead, whether accidental or not, he is certainly partly culpable for his negligence, especially as a producer on the film.
I don't understand that when you are about to fire a gun at somebody in a movie the gun isn't checked once, twice, three four times, by multiple people. But then it is America.

The person who was handed the gun should have checked it before firing. He is absolutely responsible.

Not even before firing, before using it in any way. Yes, very true. Shouldn’t even accept it without seeing it is clear. Breach/action should be open, not cocked.

I can almost get how Baldwin might have taken it at face value as being not loaded, but it just shows an incredibly blasé attitude, and his reaction since the event, where he's not taken any of the responsibility, is the reaction of a cunt.
