I'm hoping for a rebirth of the 12" MacBook. Same footprint, without the idiotic design decisions.
I know, I know. There isn't much hope. Just a fool's hope.

I absoluley love the M1 MacBook Pro. Won't happen in this event but I'm really looking forward to the M1X Mac Mini. I'll then probably retire my 2017 Intel iMac and get an external monitor.
Still looking forward to see what kind of redesign these new MacBooks will have. And what kind of specs.

Who knows, Mac mini updates often fly under the radar. Perhaps they split the lineup, with a M1X Mac mini Pro.

Seen the reports of a possible Apple Handheld coming out? Probably bullshit, what with the chip shortage and all... But if it's true it might be the first Apple device I buy as I can see it becoming quite popular.
Makes me wonder though, what with the steam deck and now possibly this, what's next? Amazon handheld? EA? Facebook? Currys?

Doesn't Apple already have a handheld? It's called the iPhone. Joking aside though - there are a bunch of pretty good after-market joystick attachments aren't there?

They should make a portable PlayStation... They could call it the PlayStation Portable!

Primed to buy a new MacBook Pro, as long as they’ve ditched the touchbar.

You know, if they decided they wanted to have a go at the Pippin 2, it'd have the chance of being more successful these days. Not only has Apple devoured a much larger part of the marketplace in recent years, but so has Bandai, with their purchase of Namco's studios a decade or so ago. And with the success of Apple Arcade...
Give me Ridge Racer 8, Apple. That's what I'm getting at.

I’m very excited that Apple have just invented playlists.

If true what they're saying right now in the live stream, the integrated graphics of the new M1 Max chip murder even high-end discrete laptop graphics.

These graphs are pretty meaningless. Just tell me how many tabs I can have open before it grinds to a halt.

Anything with an M1 Max will cost more than my house.

Good to see we are finally getting ports back. Not to mention the touchbar is finally dead.

I kind of liked the touchbar as well, but I've also never really found myself using F-keys, so something more context sensitive worked well for me.

I've not lusted over a new Mac for a while. That 14" MacBook Pro has got me rather excited though. In fact, it's almost making me regret picking up an iPad Pro.

£2.8k for the cheapest config with M1 Max. Ouch.

Robust pricing as always. I’m sure that the M1 Max chip will absolutely fly in the right workloads, but how many people will actually need it?

Cool, so they’ve admitted that usb c charging is a bit shit and dropping the sd slot was a mistake and brought back hdmi

They do. The theory is they moved it from tomorrow to today because Google has an event tomorrow.

The Touch Bar is gone! Fuckadoodle do, they’ve actually listened to what people want. The 2018 15” I’ve got might be the first one I’ve binned before it’s time, the poor gimped little fucker

They already did? They stopped selling models with a butterfly keyboard 1.5 years ago.

They already did? They stopped selling models with a butterfly keyboard 1.5 years ago. The work MacBook Pro I use has the post-butterfly keyboard (I’m almost sure!) but it has a really low click-height that makes it feel - I dunno - a little flimsy or plastic-y? I much preferred the keyboards on the older Mac laptops.

Nothing for me this year. Waiting for the new Mac Mini. Look forward to the YouTube videos to see how powerful the M1 Pro Max is.
