Place your finger on it and swipe down, past the edge of the device. It's a bit cumbersome, that's why I never use it. The GIF below shows how to do it on the home screen (the only place where the home indicator isn't visible, but you should get the idea):  |

You also swipe up on it to take you back to the first page of apps or minimise the app you’re using and swipe left and right on it to cycle through active apps.
Instruction manuals, eh? Remember them?
And, yeah, that screen down gesture is quite hard to hit if your phone is in a case

It’s literally impossible on with my iPhone 12 in its leather MagSafe case, hence the question. There’s a ridge around the full perimeter, the older case design didn’t wrap around the bottom. I did try it but thought perhaps I was missing something obvious. I do know how it works when swiping up, I’m not a complete Wayne

It used to be called reachability on the old iPhones, double tap on the home button. I thought it got retired as a feature with the X losing the home button

It is a very apple thing to include a feature that takes absolutely no account of how 99% of people will use their phone.
Also; yes, Im getting a new ipad this year. When my old MBP died, I replaced it with an ipad pro because all I did on it was look at youtube, browse the internet and read comics and its brilliant. But its starting to chug when I have 58 tabs open in chrome so im looking at updating it to the new one (its also the last of the big bezel pros).
But the mrs has an even older ipad mini which is really starting to struggle and the new one looks incredible. So we are wondering just to replace that or get a new pro and she can have the old one. I say 'wondering', she thinks my pro is far too big, so its going to be the mini.

You can set Reachability as an option for double/tripple tap on the back of the phone (back tap in Accessibility).

SURPRISE! AO.com have somehow screwed up my ipad mini order. I'll get a call today before 12pm to give me more information.
This after I had to call them after they sent a text message yesterday saying there's a problem and they'll contact me which was proceeded by texts from them saying to expect delivery today.
Why the fuck can I not just receive tech on time in this country?
Oh yeah, we're a backward insular retard of a country.

Comics and internet browsing are literally the only things I use my iPad for. Marvel Unlimited is the only reason I bought it and consistently is what it gets used for most. Don't know if I should be proud or ashamed. |

Apple are promoting the whole creative thing and ofc it looks much cooler than showing someone reading comics, but most likely less than 1% of ipad owners create anything on them. It's always been a consumption device first.

Does anyone have any useful links on how to get a replacement LCD panel for an iPad Pro 10.5, the 2017 model?
I'm fine with the repair job, but it's a bit of a minefield out there in relation to screen suppliers. Should I just choose what looks to be a half decent Aliexpress seller, or are there any other suppliers or repair shops you'd recommend?

According to these benchmarks by Anandtech, the integrated graphics chip of the M1 more than holds its own against below-top-tier discrete laptop graphics cards. |

I absoluley love the M1 MacBook Pro. Won't happen in this event but I'm really looking forward to the M1X Mac Mini. I'll then probably retire my 2017 Intel iMac and get an external monitor.
Still looking forward to see what kind of redesign these new MacBooks will have. And what kind of specs.

Seen the reports of a possible Apple Handheld coming out? Probably bullshit, what with the chip shortage and all... But if it's true it might be the first Apple device I buy as I can see it becoming quite popular.
Makes me wonder though, what with the steam deck and now possibly this, what's next? Amazon handheld? EA? Facebook? Currys?
