Swatch can make a pretty nice stainless watch with link bracelet powered by the same movement as the moonswatch for £160. The moonswatch is £50 dearer, costs them nothing in r&d, the cheap plastic rubs it’s colour off on your wrist and the strap is a disaster

After sleeping on it for a few weeks, I kinda fancy the Planet Ocean again. The sizes (39.5mm, 43.5mm) include the 1.5mm crown guards, which seamlessly transition into the lugs. So the sizes are actually 38mm and 42mm. But it is a thick watch. It's been more than 6 years since the current generation was released. Hopefully there's a new generation soon, with a size between the current ones that is also a bit thinner.  |

I don't mind it. And I believe Omega has declared it their thing for the Seamaster Professional collections, and will never ever remove it.

Can someone ban me from this thread please because I bought a Phillip Plein F A S H I O N watch today because it was cheap and came in a plastic skull and it looks beyond tacky as fuck but it's sparkly and it's got a skull on it and everything, like wot the footballers wear.

Been worn daily since I got it, scratched to buggery now. Still shiny from a distance but loads of “character” up close. Those first few scratches were heartbreaking though, looked pretty bad on their own  |

After trying on your Santos I’ve been toying with the idea of trading in my Drive for one (steel, medium). I haven’t quite got to a final decision yet but I did get a new strap for the Drive and I wear it a lot these days. I’m not a big fan of Cartier’s strap and clasp system. I bought a dark green alligator strap with blue stitching from Delugs, with a regular pin buckle, and it’s much more usable

It’s the way it bends the ends of the strap aggressively back under themselves in a full fold. Once it’s done that’s it, any adjustment you try and make later are unlikely to work. It will work it’s way back to the original fold

Wet the leather with a bit of isopropyl alcohol before wearing it and it should take its new shape by the end of the day
