As a project manager I’d be one of those annoying characters who survives by somehow managing to convince everyone I was integral to whatever it was they were doing.
Until I push it too far and a raider decapitates me.
Like an even less competent post apocalyptic Ellis from Die Hard.

I'm quite a good shot, so a zombie apocalypse I might do alright in.
Without my special creams tho, Id probably flake to death from eczema.
It kind of depends a bit on the nature of the event. If most of the population is wiped out fairly quickly, then finding a plot to grow food and be self sustaining is the priority, and doable. Otherwise, most people will just starve to death.
If there still is some kind of workable government, I might do alright with my job also.
Other than that, if we save up enough maybe we can pivot to owning a bunker in new Zealand - what's the going rate for those?

Only person on here with any chance post-war is Freddie, for whom nothing is inedible.

I don’t think I’d notice until at least a fortnight after tbh

Assuming we survive the initial blasts our length/chance of survival will depend on one thing and that's other people.
If they haven't immediately started rioting and looting then I reckon I could survive a couple of weeks before I had to really dig deep. If they have started rioting then I'm likely done in the first hour trying to get to my mum.

I’m an alright allotment grower. I’m just not sure a three and half foot wooden fence is going to be enough to save my potatoes, rhubarb and kale from the raiding parties striking out of Newcastle into nearby towns and villages

Given how effective US missile defence systems seem against Iranian missiles/drones, it'd be nice if Ukraine had a few more of them.

Annoyingly we dont live close enough to London to be be vaporised, nor far enough to be free of any exposure. So probably in just the right area to die of a very slow and painful radiation death.

If for some reason Belfast was to get nuked what's the likely type/yield? All this talk has got me curious to check out the locations that were on that USSR map that was revealed a few years back, see if I instantly vapourise or melt.

As someone that lives in a N Irish town of about 30000 people, I'd be wondering wtf we did wrong to get nuked.

Probably due to another Trident misfire, set to homing mode or something

Yeah I'd not see the reason to nuke us now which is why I'd be using the USSR map. We still make ship and plane parts now but obviously not in the way we did back then. Hope that town of yours isn't close to Downpatrick as I'm pretty sure that was on the list.

Nice to know our end could come down to a few dick head old men trying to cling to power where most people dying just want to live their lives in peace.
If we get nuked today I can have some on my tinned apricots and tuna and I’ll be totally fine.
South America might be the place to be that and Africa. North America, Europe and Asia will be screwed. Need to learn Spanish.

Well if they hit the docks I'm currently within the fireball range. Be just my luck to die wearing pink gloves and scrubbing a toilet.

Forgot I wasn't around my people when writing that. Pink gloves have extra powder stuff inside because the toilets use a stronger chemical, so I'm already dealing with itchy hands. Suppose a nuke would be a relief. Well, happy Monday folks.

I’m growing my own food. Last year I got 4 whole sweetcorn cobs from my garden and it only took 4 months to grow them.

Courgettes were a winner for us... We had hundreds of them.
Which is great until you realise it's a bottom tier veggie and you can hardly give them away.

The US aid package for Ukraine has just successfully passed, I guess some Republicans finally realised that helping out Putin wasn't the right move.
