Staggered that people think that Perfect Dark trailer was good. It looked clunky AF, like something that should've come out about 5 years ago. Animations and general sense of movement were awful. Anyway, I really hope it comes good.
Picks for me were Stalker 2, Dark Doom, Life is Strange and unexpectedly Fable, which really took me by surprise. Fucken Super Hans!!
Lowlight: Dragon Age trailer was laughably bad. Like Fortnite had sex with Dragon Age 1.

Glol (as someone a fraction of my age could get away with saying).
Thanks for that - I needed a laugh after the trailer had disappointed me so much!

Doom looked amazing, clearly pc footage. Dragon age looked awful. Fable looked okay. Need to watch the rest tomorrow. I generally hate cod games but I’ll go through the campaign as it’s free.

Considering how much I love the original Perfect Dark and Fable games, I was very, very happy with what they showed. Those two alone made the showcase for me.
Doom and Gears I'm sure will be fun. I think Indy will be a blast. I'm a sucker for stuff like Age of Mythology. And the little mouse game and Mixtape both looked really, really cool.
So despite nothing from Double Fine or that new haptic controller that was leaked, it was a pretty great show all round.

Great show, with lots of interesting titles both familiar and unknown: Doom: The Dark Ages, Expedition 33, South of Midnight, Metal Gear Solid, Flintlock, Perfect Dark (?), Fable, Indiana Jones, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers (which I had missed, if it was ever announced before), Atomfall, Stalker 2 and of course Gears.

It will be interesting to see how many of the big hitters end up on PS and how quickly. Looking like best opportunity incoming for MS to shift consoles since launch that’s for sure if they keep to exclusive or limited time exclusive tactics. Or would they rather gobble up the extra game sale income if they feel their console user base is just to small vs PS and potential full game market sales.

Avowed is coming to gamepass day one on November 12th it seems. I don't think it look terrible, but it does look generic as fuck

A good showing all in all.
Perfect Dark doesn't look anywhere near ready; it looked like proof of concept. Clunky as all hell.
South of Midnight looked really intriguing, as did Mixtape.
Fable rather blew me away. I was thinking that I'd be swerving that one as I thought the first 2 games might be a bit of their time, but this trailer got me rather excited. Oh, and the GoW trailer was pretty great too!

Thought that was a fantastic show with a slew of great looking games that I want to play, can't ask for more really.
Really glad to see Perfect Dark and Fable - the latter is shaping up really nicely and it was just good to see anything of the former (I'm definitely up for a Deus Ex / Mirror's Edge combination).

Just seems like a few offerings, big or small, will go multi platform as a taster of what is available on Xbox, rather than going all out and putting everything on PlayStation.

It should -and probably will- act like a big publisher spreading its games on every capable console and GamePass, perhaps keeping only a handful of iconic games exclusive (timed or not).
I'd also argue its end goal is to put GamePass on rival consoles as well, but Sony will not allow it... yet...

I did think they might add some more games to gamepass that day but nothing (also they didn't add much during so far this month) Of course the cretins on TA and reddit where screaming at anyone saying "of course they are saving for the showcase" those people are very quiet now
Wouldn't mind playing the prototype games on gamepass right now

I saw a lot to like there. State of Decay 3 is top of the list if I had to pick one, but Atomfall and Stalker 2 look great, Fable is good to see, and I’ll always check out any Gears game they put out. Also interested to see what they add to Starfield later this evening- still waiting for proper console mod support rather than just Creation Club though Update - turns out the Creation Club update also includes full mod support on console - they’ve combined it rather than keeping them separate like they did in FO4 and Skyrim. So I guess they did do a shadow drop for the one thing I wanted from Starfield

Hats off for keeping to Starfield promises.
If Cyberpunk 2077 could be rescued post launch then no reason Starfield could not reach for the stars.
Expansion looks terrific. Give it another 2 years and 2026 GOTY edition will be a 9.5/10 just like Skyrim imo.

I really enjoyed the show. Usually I’m very non-plussed with these sorts of things, but practically everything I saw I felt I wanted to play, at least check out. I’m not sure anything really blew me away but I was intrigued to play all those games on gamepass. 2025 looks safe. I liked that expedition 33 game and South of midnight.

With Cyberpunk they had a solid foundation that just needed a bit of TLC (and to forget the last gen console versions ever existed). Starfield's issues are far deeper than that. I can't see them ever changing Starfield enough to even make it an 8/10 tbh.

Yeah cyberpunk didn't have you spend a lot of time in the menus to try and find somewhere where you could have some fun. With how it's been designed there's no way it can have that sense of exploration where I would give it a 9.

This is entirely fair… but I just installed a mod that makes the temples easy to complete, and another one that looks like it turns the Gravity Wave power into Fus Ro Dah from Skyrim… so I’m pretty happy to get even small fixes and extras!

The Avowed devs have compared their game to Outer Worlds, which is not what I was hoping to hear. I'll have to wait for some opinions on the final game.
As for the rest... Perfect Dark did look dated, but not necessarily in a bad way, and the Mirror's Edge/Deus Ex comparisons are no bad thing. The animations in the new Indiana Jones still look slow and stilted in a way that even Infernal Machine in 1999 didn't. Atomfall seemed interesting, but I'm getting Atomic Heart vibes from it and that's not great. South of Midnight looked more generic than its premise made me think, but it could be good nonetheless. Mixtape was quite intriguing, although the little side-scrolling gameplay they showed wasn't too enticing. Expedition 33 looked very pre-alpha (combat UI seemed straight out of the 360 era), but has potential. Doom Dark Ages... wel, I hope it's more Doom 2016 and less Doom Eternal.

It looked very Eternal to me, with the special enemy attacks and abilities like the shield (which I was hoping for)
I'll have to watch the Perfect Dark trailer again but I liked it at the time. The gameplay looked different to your typical FPS

I'm a simple man... I just want to shoot shit.
I'll have to give Eternal another chance, but all of the extra shit just didn't click with me. This looks like it's adding even more stuff like parries with the shield, so it's probably not going to be for me.

PD does look a bit rough but after the "insider info" from jeff grubb I was expecting redfall levels of shite. Hoping they can improve it as Deus ex style with parkour sounds good

The console refresh was a little disappointing. I would've definitely snapped up the cylindrical one that MS leaked, but these just seem to be the same thing as before.
2TB should be standard by now, not something you have to buy a stupid looking sparkly limited edition console to get. Less shit WiFi and faster USB would've been reasons for me to upgrade too.
Although seeing as I've pre-ordered Metaphor on disc I'm probably not ready to jump to all digital anyway.
