They showed 30 games with almost no filler. That's what a showcase should be imo. Right length with 3 little breaks from Xbox management. |

On a rewatch, that Flintlock souls-lite game also looks pretty decent. Game Pass in July so not long to wait…

Spare a thought for the regular posters at the Silksong subreddit, many of whom seem to have convinced themselves that the game would finally get a release date this evening.

MS definitely lining up for a stronger games period than PS over the next 2 years imo but arguably not very adventurous outside of the expected franchises. But then I guess PS have fallen into fairly repeat patterns too.
Come on MS all you need to do now is follow it up with the XB-X Pro to play the new stuff on now pls with the new hopefully much better game pad!

COD is looking like it may at least be an epic single player experience, and to be honest it usually is - the only ones I’ve felt meh about in recent years were BLOPS 3 and MW2, neither of which I actually explicitly hate.
If it’s as good or better than Cold War I’ll be happy, as that’s as good as it gets for me.
They need to learn how to not make the presentations be so stilted and corporate feeling though.

I've no need for a new version of the X. Not like last gen when the One X felt like a needed upgrade over the launch Xbox One. Design point alone!

I still don't see the point for a Pro console, PS5 and Xbox. They're very capable machines. Yeah, seems way too early for the PS5 Pro. Barely feels like the current gen has even got going
If mine breaks for some reason, definitely getting the white as replacement though

Lots of content which is good. Perfect Dark looked great and Mixtape looked like my cup of tea.
For a high budget game showing no gameplay, Indy looked poor.
Glad COD maybe worth a go for those of us that only play the campaign.
Sure I'll play and enjoy GOW.

Probably speaks volumes, but I'm surprised no one has mentioned Avowed yet. Thought it looked genuinely terrible- way worse than Dragon Age (though admittedly neither are really my genre). It just looks so basic
Machine Games making an Indy game has always seemed a bit strange. The Wolfenstein games are quite story heavy and Nazis are on brand, so maybe it suits them

Noticed no consoles mentioned at the end of the gears trailer.
The Xbox Wire writeup also doesn't mention the current consoles.

Indy looked like current textures and fidelity with animation and AI from days of yore. I found the whole cut scene excruciating, and I am a person that didn’t mind the Crystal Skull so that is saying something.
I’d really like to see a simple list of these games with release dates in chronological order. If somebody happens upon one please do post it.
Couple of questions please anyone?
1. This talk of an X Pro - did I miss something? I thought it was just a digital version but with colour choices.
2. Is Stalker 1 worth a go on Xbox?
3. Is the DLC for Doom Eternal any cop? It looked immense but I did find that game a bit of a grind towards the end - far harder than the first one.

Adds a decent amount of new gameplay mechanics as you progress as well. You can always just drop the difficulty
I've only played Pripyat (third game) from the Stalker games on Xbox (got all 3) and it plays perfectly fine, as fine as they ever did. I read that they're going to potentially release a Series X update and mod support somewhere down the line so it might be worth waiting a bit

I just want some Essential scoring games from MS now. They’ve gotten close and with work the likes of Starfield will probably get there but it needs more. Now we know more is on the way. But will they be good to great? Or will some be Essential?
