Anyone still playing this? I have to say that as much as it is a broken and empty game the multiplayer has been very enjoyable. I’ve played more of the multiplayer on this than probably any other simcade series, including old Forzas. I really enjoyed the Group C cars last week, even if they weren’t very well balanced. If people were still playing I’d be up for suggesting some private multiplayer with those cars. I've not play it in a couple of months but I think i'm gonna give it another 6 before I jump in. There just isn't enough in multiplayer for me at the moment.

They aren’t good at communication, just months of silence and then a carefully created post that’s low on the mega culpa needed and way too light on any sort of detail or plan to address stuff. It’s the Xbox’s premium sim(light) racer for this generation, but, sure, silence and “months” to get around to addressing stuff is fine.

I can’t be arsed with MP in car games as I’m too casual. As a single player person then, this game is far too limited. I’m not sure I’ll ever finish the Builder’s Cup, it’s so drawn out.
IMO practice laps need to be optional and opt in, not opt out. They shouldn’t be tied to progression and if I have limited time effectively doing every race twice in a five race series is just needless busy work. A lot of my time has been spent stuck with cars or car types I just don’t really give a hoot about. I want to race 80s/90s Testarossas vs Lambos for example - like many people of a certain age I’d idolize these cars and have models of them and stuff as a kid. But no you have to race a Celica and then a sixties Nissan 20 times first.
It’d be really nice to be able to switch cars mid series but as it’s so tied to the upgrade tree thing I guess that doesn’t make sense.
Something that would be a welcome import from Horizon would be the ability to create and share custom races. Just something very simple - pick a track, conditions and what cars you want to see. I’m sure it would be very popular.

Honestly the builders cup is so boring and it feels like they bumped up the numbers of laps to race to pad it out but its so dull. The cups are so mediocre, 80s/90s Testarossas vs Lambos or some form of single player campaign would be better
Not sure if the devs don't care or don't know how to improve it

I like the Builders Cup. I like the practice laps. I like it feeling like a raceday. So it's not as simple as you're right and they're wrong. I agree that it's not what it should be overall though, and definitely doesn't have a fraction of the hook that GT7 got into me last year for several months solid. I enjoy my time with it, but I don't miss it when I'm not playing.

Still looks like fucking SNES on the Series S too. After recently upgrading to a Series X, it is amazing how gimped the S version is graphically. But tbh that seems to be a common occurrence among the 1st party entries which is kinda bizarre.

The Series S is treated as an Xbox One with better loading, which is crazy to me because it’s at least as powerful as a PS4 Pro and that gets treated as an entry-level 4K machine. (checkerboarding and the like do their part there)

Yeah, I've found that if it's actually given some love it can surprise quite well. For example I'm amazed that Avatar has the full graphic feature set on the Series S apart from running at a lower resolution and lower frame rate and that's from a 3rd party. I think of something like Halo Infinite and it's amazing how dog shit it is graphically and technically on the S especially the 30fps quality mode that STILL has incorrect frame pacing but tbf it has issues on the X.

Microsoft sent out a user survey about Forza Motorsport today which was good as it gave me a chance to tell them how much I dislike it now they have ruined the single player mode, the only way I play any game these days.
