Does Forza have an e-Scooter class? Even a one lap race could be classed as an endurance race.

I'm thinking: Thursdays 8pmish with an 8.30pm race start time A different class/car/car type/model make/whatever each week Race with full simulation Set number of laps to be around 30-40 minutes long Messing around with private lobby settings I'm not sure you can do practice/qualifying like with standard online races. But you can set it to fastest lap wins for one race, then set it to grid order being set by the previous race's standings, which is a convoluted way of doing qualifying. For example: Thursday 19th october 8pmish Maple Valley Raceway Any Class C car 8.30pm for qualifying race of 3 laps (fastest lap wins) 8.45pm for race of 20 laps I can’t make it tonight but is there any interest in this?

Not managed to play much yet, but so far I am liking it. Glitches in cut scenes aside, it's been stable for me (other than some quick resume issues) and on the whole looks great (SeriesX).
Done the intro cup (picked the Golf, got a silver trophy) and a couple of races into the one a row down with an M3 the Cosworth.
I really like the progression loop of getting better with the car, whilst incrementally upgrading it. I'm not a massive one for tinkering with setups, so really appreciate the unlock progression and just letting it auto-upgrade. As I got to the last race, I did redistribute some points, but it feels quicker and easier to use than the GT7 equivalent (though their screens for seeing the effect of changes is better handled).
Also done a couple of online races which have been a lot of fun.
Not quite got the difficulty level quite right yet, but have most assists switched off and I really like how you can choose how to play it. Higher difficulty but start higher up the grid, or lower the difficulty and put yourself further back, it's a neat approach.
The cars also feel really nice and of the three I have driven (outside of the intro), all behave very differently, but after a few laps you get a better handling of them and adjust your lines accordingly.
Not tried the wheel yet, probably do that at the weekend, but the pad controls are responsive.

Logged on last night and I’d been put back to the second race on that same series for (I’ve actually lost count now) but I think the fifth time. This is post update.
The game has probably stolen a good couple of hours of my life through this progress bug now.
I hit Reddit and somebody suggested it can be prevented by not altering your fuel level pre-race. So I went back to complete the cup and what do you know, my progress was saved. Although I did come second twice when I always normally win because I had a heavy car.
I skipped the practices, which I’ve finally worked out how to do - you actually have to start the bloody practice and skip it from the pause menu in game. No way to skip it prior to the laps.
This is really poor and the core game is so good it’s a crying shame.

Yeah, it’s still locking up when resuming a play session. Even had it freeze when loading the Miami Speedway track - just sat on that track profile screen for way too long.
I’d be tempted to install this on PC instead if I hadn’t read all the other complaints!

The patch to fix stuff has genuinely made the whole game worse for me, the big fucking twats.

I have had a couple of incidents of the game freezing when applying upgrades to my cars which is a nuisance as it means replaying the whole of the previous race since the update. I am close to bouncing off of the game now though, my initial excitement has been lost and I am finding it a little shallow in career mode. It misses something from the previous games for me.

It's the first sim racing game I've played in a long long while. I'm assuming the whole practice and qualifying at the start of a multiplayer race is par the course these days? but it's entirely new to me and really drawing me in.
Nailing the sectors during practice before holding it together for qualifying. Each race feels like it's own little event.

Just played my first online race, finished 2nd \o/ I do like the 3 lap qualifying, it’s quite nerve wracking trying to keep just close enough to the ragged edge without fucking if up royally.

First progress bug encountered (Series X). The game's forgotten I finished Super Sedans in the Builder's Cup, so I'm going to have to do Spa again. FFS. Was looking forward to racing in some faster cars.

Boy, the GT3 featured race has the messiest lobbies I've had so far. Lower class lobbies is where it's at.

Actually won an online race last night in the Introductory Cup. Problem after that is as a duo we could not get in to anything else. It either stuck whilst I was choosing my car, they didn't get in or a combination of the two.
Shame as when we do get in a race it's a great time.

I’ve had most fun with it this week by picking a fave car and track and wringing the neck of it in the Rivals thing. Fun to hotlap and try to perfect lines and it levels the car up quickly too.

Played quite a lot on Sunday, and really enjoyed mixing up offline with online races.
I've found I prefer having the difficulty a tad lower (which means I am getting the set laptime in practice without issue) but nudging myself back on the starting grid closer to the back. Will take a bit more trial and error to get it right, and different event series have provided different challenges with me having to adjust accordingly, but it's a neat idea.
Online has been great so far bar one race where it took ages to get out of practice into the race session. Most people driving responsibly has helped make it fun experience. And unlike GT7, if someone nudges you from behind, you are a lot less likely to spin out.
Didn't setup the wheel, but think the pad controls on this are excellent.
The haptics combined with the adaptive triggers on the PS5 give a great illusion in GT7, but I find the rumble in this actually more helpful. Here I can very easily feel when the wheels are about to slip accelerating through corners (or in some cars, just flooring it coming out) and I'm managing to hold the car through skids a lot more confidently.

There are annoying steps in the difficulty settings. I was breezing Level 4 AI, but struggle to even get on the podium at Level 5. Even once I'd levelled up and upgraded the car way beyond the starting spec.

I’m also really enjoying the multiplayer - mostly GT. what I have found is that the default tunes on the GT cars are waaay off the pace. So now I’m trying to do a bit more testing in advance to see if I can get a set up that works. That’s where the new loop of practice > quali > race is quite fun.

Yes, I did a GT race at the weekend where the top laptime was about 3 seconds fast than me, and I was in amongst a bunch of other drivers on similar times. In the actual race I jumped a few positions and held my own, but even on my fastest lap I was still nowhere near the top. Doesn't surprise me that tuning helps, it should, but not sure where best to begin. Most I usually do is lower the car a tad, and tweak the gear ratios to prioritise acceleration over to speed. When I have tried to do the gears in this, it has generally suggested the car would end up slower, so not sure what is a good start point. Any tips on tuning?

I raid the saved tunes other people have done, but there’s often someone a fair bit quicker than me too so not sure that’s the way to go. It could just be that they’re better than me…actually nah, I’m awesome, must be the tunes…
Related question - in spec races can people still tune but only up to the limit, or are you stuck with whatever the game gives you? I try importing tunes but the game says ‘no’, but then I can see other drivers have med/soft/hard tyres whereas I’m stuck with stock? Don’t get it
