Thank man. Ouch. how did you do that? The first time, I slipped over on wet decking. This time, I have no idea. I'm not aware of having done anything to cause it. I don't think it healed well and it's just got progressively worse. It's only a small tear. |

I have had a stinking cold all week but have been busy as fuck. Today I have no meetings, so have taken the day off. Just had a little nap, now going to watch some shit films. I am being a brave little soldier.

Dougs rest up chief, sounds like it's caught up with you if you've been working hard despite it. A good day of doing fuck all will do the world of good. Got a call this morning, the hospital had a cancellation so got called up for my ultrasound. Scanned all my upper abdominal solid organs apparently (liver, pancreas, gallbladder etc) and she said she couldn't see anything abnormal. Got to have more blood tests next week but I'm not going to lie, I am a little relieved to say the least. She could be talking shit of course and I may get told otherwise when my doc calls but I feel better that at least the scans have been done.

FFS called the doc to see if they'd had my results through for the ultrasound and the receptionist was like "oh now we won't have them through for another couple of weeks, unless it's urgent of course, let me check. Oh, yours came in at 2 o'clock."
So now I'm high as a fucking kite again. She said the doctor hasn't seen them yet and for me to phone back.

Christ, what a bad way to handle a phone call. Maybe she meant potentially urgent as opposed to a scan for something that's definitely not serious.

Doctors admin staff are utterly shite, invasive and think they rule the roost. When the NHS works well it's absolutely outstanding when it doesn't it just beggars belief.
