The last few days I've become absolutely covered in bites! All summer pretty much avoided it and now I'm the fucking buffet for midges. Legs feel so itchy and sore!

I remember reaching down to pick something up off the floor and feeling flees jumping onto my arm. My bedroom was the coldest room in the house so the cats were beating the door down to sleep in there when they had fleas

Plucked a hair out of my ear canal a few days ago. Because I am an old man now and have ear hairs.
The hole the follicle left seems to have swelled up something fierce and has left me with pain akin to earache that is keeping me awake, and it also itches. The swelling is such that I can't even get my finger in there to scratch it. Feel like maybe I should stick a pin in there to burst it, but knowing my luck I'd slip and perforate my ear drum.

I cut a chunk of the pad of my thumb off with a stanley knife the other day. The hospital glued it because it was sliced right off.
Cleaning it was fucking excruciating.

So our driveway is about 6ft above the adjoining ground level, when we moved in I fitted a partial handrail at the back as I thought it was a deathtrap (but crucially not all the way around), yesterday I overstepped where I'd not fitted the handrail, went down like the proverbial ton of bricks, smashed my left knee and side of my body into the concrete, right-hand side got wedged into the gap between the driveway and the suicidal wire fence the previous occupier installed adjacent to the driveway, fuck knows why, so right knee is also battered, as well as both hands and chest and various other bits aren't right. It's weird, individually they're all pretty minor but with all of them combined I feel like I've been run over. I am a brave little soldier.

Heard the crying but couldn’t figure future out why she ran into the bedroom waving vigorously at me and why there was stuff coming flying out of her hand like dark, shiny confetti Took a fucking age to clean the blood spatter off the bedroom walls, plus the three other rooms she ran through to get there Tip grew back like normal after a few months. |

I have gouged a big gash in my thumb this evening on a wine glass (plus four other cuts on my fingers) by simply drying the fucking thing. Our neighbor is a doctor so has patched me up but it needs a trip to the minor injury tomorrow for stitches (currently being held together with steri strips). Hurts like fuck. Worst thing is that I won't be able to game for a while...balls.

Had a sore throat for a week. Testing negative on Covid, and didn't feel too bad. Went to a gig last week, shouting along to metal was not good for sore throat.
Felt actually fine yesterday and this morning, sore throat had gone
but now sore throat has returned with a vengeance. Feels different, less mucusy. Doing another test shortly, would not be surprised if this is Covid.
It's really quite a painful sore throat.

Was fairly unwell on Monday and yesterday (which was fun for my interview) and last night, I haven't slept at all. No matter how many layers I put on, I can't stop shivering.
C-19 tests have been negative 3 days in a row, so it's probably just a fever.
Sod being brave, though. Fuck this shit, I want to sleep.
