Always wanted to do one because of that Simpsons episode.

I’m sure it not as relaxing as you imagine once you start bubbling out Stella farts into your sealed tomb.

Don't take a UV lamp, I'd imagine.

We're going to a spa hotel soon for our wedding anniversary and this is one of the things they offer, as it happens.
Not tempted, tbh. I'd be worried about my claustrophobia kicking off.

We did one once, thought it was a bit boring to be honest, you just float there in the dark for a bit.

Blue_Mike Not personal experience, but you could check this out for an idea I'm sure they're not the only ones that have done a video like this, but I've been a longtime watcher so they were the first ones that came to mind 😅

Can't you pretty much achieve the same at home in the bath with the light off?

Can't you pretty much achieve the same at home in the bath with the light off? Not really. Among other things, you'd pretty much never be able to achieve a fully light-/sound-proof environment (to the point where your sense of what's happening inside your body is actually enhanced), and the water inside a sensory deprivation tank is also specifically prepared to let you float and kept at skin temperature all throughout.

Get some ear plugs, salt the bath water and get the other half to keep topping up with water from the kettle.
Get her some night vision goggles if you're worried about her aim in the dark.

Need a new combi boiler as our old system boiler is on its way out after nearly 30 years.
Any suggestions for a decent combi boiler a 3 bedroom semi? I've tried doing research online but a lot of these comparison sites just seem like advertisements and if anything there's too many recommendations.
Like most people I'm basically looking for the most reliable one.

Our pillows are shit. I bought some new duck down pillows at painful expense but they need to be returned as they have begun to *stink*.
Any advice for where to buy non-shit, non-stinky pillows?
Anyone suggesting memory foam will be made to eat dinner with ecosse. Naked.

Yeah, I've sort of narrowed it down to three that seem to keep cropping up:
Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000 Valiant ecoTEC Plus 832 Viessmann Vitodens 100-W
I've just done the walkthrough and funnily enough it's recommending the Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000.

We got a Viessmann a few years back. It’s been fine - no problems and very quiet. Works well with a Nest thing too, if that’s your bag.

I used to deal with Viessmann for boilers and heat pumps in an old job and they were basically the best you could get. It was a decade ago but as far as I know they’re still highly regarded. You’re probably not going to go wrong with either of those 3 manufacturers in all honesty.

I’m going to unchain ecosse from his radiator and get him cooking his grey mush.

We've got the Viessmann Vitodens 200-W, very solid, very reliable, we're about to rip it out and replace it with a heat pump. All controlled with the ViCare app which is pretty good but it feels more complicated than it needs to be.

We've got a Vailant EcoTec and it's been going for nearly 8 years with no issues, though we do get it serviced every year (if you can call the perfunctory going-over British Gas gave it a 'service'). The Corgi guy who did it last time said he likes them a lot more than Worcester-Bosch, which he thinks are over-rated, but that's just, like, his opinion man.

I'm projecting, my pillows are skanky as fuck. And new cases are just polishing the turd. I need to go to Habitat/John Lewis and sort it out.

Also had an EcoTec put in a few years ago and it's been fine since. Smart controls are a bit shonky but seems standard for proprietary stuff. Only went with a Vailant as all Worcesters had been nabbed by British Gas and Boxt apparently. My nephew is a plumber and said he prefers WB as they are more modular and easier to repair. 6 of one though I suspect.

New Worcester here last year. Prefer it to previous Valiant I had. Horses for courses tbh.
