This is a level of pedantry I can get behind. He's right, it's the sugars in the malted barley that ferment. Hops add the bitter flavours.

I should have paid more attention on the Heineken tour. I believe that - with Heineken - it’s the rat piss that actually ferments.

Japanese pillows are awful. Always struggled to sleep when we went to a traditional place that had them.

Question for 70s/80s animation geeks. I've been watching some episodes of Battle of the Planets and there's quite a few scenes set underwater, especially with the added Centre Neptune shots. These seem to have some sort of effect where the footage has a wobbly distortion to it. I was just wondering if anyone knew how they achieved that effect at the time? I'm guessing some distorted glass that's moved over the footage perhaps?

How often are you washing the pillow? Not the case. This is the annoying thing - we’d only had them for about five days before the stink got really bad. We washed them - according to instructions - and it made the stench worse. John Lewis rep told me that “all down pillows have an odour as they’re a natural product” which enraged me. These things fucking reek. I’m assuming the feathers weren’t well enough washed and the stink is duck/goose shit. Either way, John Lewis can fuck themselves. We have pillows from Duvet Hog that are really good. Went through the process over the last however many years of memory foam, thin ones, thick ones, 2 at a time and the Hog is really great

Sometimes I do wonder if there's some users who have really been playing the long game in order to hawk their MLM wares.

The bigger side on bottom offers more structural stability for your sheaf of papers, while the smaller side on top allows for an easier paper lift.
