Quad that’s amazing man. After all the shit you’ve endured you may well have landed your dream job. Genuinely and most sincerely hope it works out for you man. It sounds awesome. Thanks man, and it feels a bit too good to be true and it does have potential drawbacks in quiet periods, plus its hourly wage so probably paye, and there probably isn't a decent pension etc but fuck all that noise, because the chance to at least give it a go is worth a shitload more than that. I've done music all my life, like my dad did. And If it goes wrong? Well, I can always sell storage again. Fuck it. |

My day was less successful than quads.
Today I had to ask a student who had taken their shoes off in the cubicle farm outside the lab to kindly put them back on.
Fuck my life. I have never smelt feet so much you could cut a slice out of the air.
I have also never encountered anyone who would do that previously either.
I need to retire sooner than I can.

I have to say, it is all a bit quick. And I'm not going to go mad with it all. They've just sent my contract over and there are some questions that I do need answering before I can commit.
Hopefully, depending on the outcome of those questions, I'll be able to go for it, but will have to see.
Now I've got that property job in 25 minutes via teams. And then it's back to a long shift at storage.
Still, it's the weekend soon and I can chill then.....oh, wait...working saturday. Course I am.

Ha, the recruiter in the England for the Korea job got back to me and unsurprisingly I was unsuccessful. I chuckled when I got the email because they don't get a reason as to why I was unsuccessful so I told them the reason. Ahhh, man. I'm still laughing about it!

I hope you hid away the collection of gimp wear before the video call. It went fairly well. Proper corporate etc but I'm used to that. Doesn't seem that bad and done similar stuff before so will see. The music job is proving problematic now with the hours and self employed requirements along with the workload going quiet. It's quite the risk. They're waiting for investment then moving location and then doing salaries for staff with fixed hours. I think I'm going to have to say I'll need to wait till that happens as currently its not feasible but I really want to work there. I'll say all that. Shame but only potentially a shame for a while maybe. One day... |
