Sounds like a bullet dodged, Jambo. Better that they demonstrate their ineptitude now, when you still have a chance to bow out, than after they've hired you! Still sucks, though. With the Vitality one I think you have to connect the watch to their app to measure how much you are exercising. Although a quick glance at that suggests you only have to pay 10% of the price of the watch if you meet their criteria.

I've only worked for the NHS for three years (and leaving in a month...) and I have witnessed this repeatedly during this time. It's mind-boggling to me how prevalent it is - these people do no actual work other than creating Powerpoint presentations that feed into the next Powerpoint presentation. I don't understand how this is what the concept of Work has become. And it's really well fucking paid!
A sector of employment created purely to facilitate its own existence.

I've been to conferences with these people numerous times and I just get the ick. Like, I can network with people when I'm looking for skills our team doesn't have or whatever. But there so many events just for blowing hot air up each others asses. They make my skin crawl having to interact with so many people whose objective seems to be to collect 'contacts' like they're Panini stickers.
