Thanks all. He's out of surgery and recovering in the ward, they seem to have removed the clot successfully, so will see how recovery goes and how it has impacted him. Bloody train is delayed though, so going to miss my connection, really hope I can at least get a few minutes with him tonight before visiting hours end.

Glad everything seemed to go well, Mike. Genuine thoughts and prayers, rather than the American shite

And sorry once again to have derailed the thread, just happened as I was on way to a meeting I'd been prepping for all last week so seemed the right place to dump.

User Drakesmoke as far as as I can see. Everyone has their reasons. Hopefully they'll be back. Same for Rum too, he just quit out of nowhere but then we never really know someone is going through IRL.

He is a good bloke and I'm sure he will be back at some.
I'm friends with him on a game we both play and will reach out if he doesn't reappear after a bit.

Oh, he said he wanted a break in the Warhammer thread, which I totally don't follow because it's for big nerds, so maybe just forcing himself to step away for a bit

Eh. Very strange. He seemed to be having a good time in that thread. Quite a nuclear option for stopping oneself posting. Hope he returns anyhow.

Urgh. Been a long time since I've had to be up at this time to get into London. Usually manage to travel a bit later and work on the train etc.

It is when the train is then delayed, meaning it's likely I'll probably miss the 0930 meeting that I got up at 5am for!

I’ve had people want me to drive for 2.5 hours each way for a 30 minute meeting. I came up with an excuse not to, other than that’s a stupid waste of time, but then the meeting got cancelled 5 minutes before anyway. It’s happened a few times.

Sounds alright, 5 hours driving and listening to music or podcasts and not having to put up with anyone's shit.

That could probably have been an email Sadly not. Although there is another meeting in 2 weeks that could have been used instead. But that was poo-pooed for... reasons.

Good luck Quad!
For the job I applied for.. "The worst case scenario is 2-3 days in the office by Manchester airport" Oh no.. I think I'll spend half my day on the M6.

Question. You've been offered a 2nd interview and to pick a date and time, you request the Thursday on offer at a time they offer. You send an email to confirm this. No response. You WhatsApp the director who says oh yes thanks. Silence. You message a day later to ask if that's all OK and will I get details about where the interview is, who I'm seeing etc and they respond quite late to say they'll confirm details early next week. It is now next week and I've received no information yet. It's honestly not a great look is it from a prospective employer? Thoughts as I'm a bit perturbed as to why I'm doing all the chasing for something that isn't my first choice.
