Forgot it's also hybrid so just 2 days in the office as well. So saving petrol too as well as reducing commute to practically bugger all.
Yes, the nhs pension is good, but there are too many other positives with this other one.

Just found out a job I went for has had 800 applicants so far and it's not even closed yet. It's for quite a senior role as well.
Won't be getting that then.

I was talking to someone that hires, and they were saying that 50% go in the bin immediately if there's no cover letter. Another 25% go if there is any grammar or crap writing etc.
That's 75% just for those ones

I would love to start my own thing up, I wouldn't need to even make that much money.
Just struggling to find the niche at the moment. Ideally I would start it whilst working and then build it up to a point where I could stop earning other people money and getting fuck all thanks for it and start making some for myself.

That and the initial outlay being a few million at least. Takes a good while to build occupancy up as well and the bigger guys can crush you with aggressive pricing. Shurguard just bought Lok n store and the pricing they have brought in is absolutely mental because they can weather it whilst they choke the other companies. Takes serious money and a lot of resilience to get an independent up and running.
Also councils dont like allowing self storage companies as they take up a lot of land and dont provide many jobs. It's why buyouts are so common as quite often it's the only way to get additional buildings.
