Hello rodpad . I decided to reply to a post on FontGeek. Edit: I was disappointed when the joke was broken by new page

Spent 2 hours with the 5 year old trick or treating and having to remind him every 30 seconds to say trick or treat when the door opens and thank you after receiving his sweets was exhausting.
I thought children were like little sponges at this stage?

I put it down to the excitement of the day messing up the thought process.
Took my 5 year old out and first house we knock on
5 year old: "Trick or Treat?"
Man dressed normal: "I love your costume!"
5 year old: "I love yours too"
Then when we were walking to the next house it clicked in and she asked rhetorically about him even wearing a costume sliglty red faced.
Welcome to being an adult young padawan.

Mrs Shark’s parents have been staying with us this weekend. I’m going to teach the baby to call his Grandmother “Jub-Jub”, because she’s everywhere you wanna be.

Began Xmas shopping today and got tattooed. One of the tattoos I love and the artist nailed the custom brief exactly. The other was a flash piece and I’m slightly bummed out that on reflection the linework is a bit too heavy and the whole piece is just over the threshold of being noticeably (to me) bigger than it should really have been to balance beside its older neighbours. Oh well, can’t change it now.

After a couple of tough weeks at work, which has had a big impact on my mental health of late, I had a lovely weekend with the wife and kiddo. We went to see Disney on Ice in Exeter - my daughter loved it, and then we tackled the Christmas markets, they were unsurprinsgly fucking rammed and it took me an hour to get parked, but was a lovely day otherwise though. Yesterday I was on fire, I finished off decorating bits (filling, sanding, painting, sealing) in two rooms, cooked a roast dinner, did a few other odd jobs round the house and then drank a couple of beers, followed up by playing Lego Harry Potter with my daughter. Pretty good weekend all told, and much needed as I face another week of Q4 madness.

On the train home from Edinburgh, after a magic weekend with my best mate. Did lots of walking (Arthur's Seat was the highlight), lots of drinking and eating. So good to catch up properly. His daughter lives there so we got to catch up with her and run the rule over her new boyfriend. Spent a bomb, but fuck it, it's only money innit.

You can't take it with you.
Unless you're taking it to Edinburgh, in which case you definitely can.

After a couple of tough weeks, where I'm kinda worn thin. I got robbed for the first time where someone stole my bag at the pub with my nice headphones in it. Then today my Black Friday i7 from Amazon turned up with the packaging artfully sliced open and a couple of small table legs put in as ballast. At this point I feel fairly certain I'm going to get hit by a bus tomorrow taking said table legs to the post office so they process my fucking refund.

I completed approximately 90% of the Christmas present wrapping today! That’s both the kids all done bar a few wee things were waiting on.
Can’t be fucked doing it Christmas Eve when I should be watching Die Hard

Thanks all. The depression stuff is just life, not read a book in months, not painted any warhammer, not been doing cooking properly, too much work, not seen friends. The grindy kind of thing. To think I was thinking I'd ditch the anti-depressants.
The other stuff will get fixed with Amazon refunds etc. Just yknow the despair when a bad run of luck hits you. I had my first ever filling a month ago, then got a gum infection, then the flu, then got robbed.
Should probably just go buy a lottery ticket for karma's sake.

Had a day off from work, so I started work on writing a modding guide for Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, as I promised I would back when I did the one for Cyberpunk 2077 back in the beginning of October. Thinking of doing a site for such things with Wordpress.
Took a little break from that to have a wander out to the shop, bought a madeira cake and some Mountain Dew. Feeling more relaxed today than I have done since before X-mas, probably because the pressure of the sales is finally off at work and I can exhale for a while.

Had to call my bank this morning due to some suspicious transactions on my account, which led to having to block my card to prevent any further such transactions. This is the first time this happened to me in the many years I've been buying stuff online and I've been wondering the whole day how this happened because I'm very careful, even downright paranoid at times when it comes to using my credit card.
I'm thankful that it's a relatively low amount and that I'll be reimbursed by the bank but I'm terrified this could happen again. What really sucks about this though is that I was having a really shitty week so far and this is just the cherry on top....

Well think of it that it was only a small amount and you saw it quickly, so I guess it could have been worse, silver linings and all that ....
I think some (many) of us would have admitted to falling for the odd thing over the years (not suggesting you have) but the bastards are so darn devious it's no wonder more of us don't get caught out more often. God help getting older and losing the plot FFS!
