Huge, bulbous and more grotesque than anything Wunty comes up with on here. Hey now... If I understood what you were getting at I might be offended.
Or complimented.
Or both?

Have been away camping with friends since Thursday (borrowing virtually all their stuff as we're novices). It's been absolutely blinding. Stunning scenery, been out paddle-boarding, Kayaking, BBQ and generally just hanging around the tent. The weather has been great and the 6 kids all got along brilliantly. I am a full convert (although we'd need to invest in a lot of kit and transportation is an issue).

Took the car in for its MOT and service today. They’re currently spinning the wheel to see if it lands on “cheeky £20 tune up” or “Replace everything except the cigarette lighter”.

Don't take your car to chain, worst thing you can do.

Well, it's not as exciting as air shows and mega camping trips, but I have been using my newly-wheeled wheelbarrow to transport decorative stones to my new little flattened seating area in my garden

I hope nothing goes wrong with your new wheel because then you'll need to take it back and the guy will be like "dude, this is the wrong receipt for this wheel, it's too cheap" and you'll be like "nah bro this is the receipt I got" and he'll be all "buddy this is too cheap, so you're saying we undercharged you?" and you'll be all "hey chief yeah looks like" and he'll be "mate you've basically just stolen food from my children's mouths" and you'll be all "fuck you sport, it's the company's fault, I'm sticking it to the man" and he'll be all "I'll fight you".
And eh, shit.

What could possible go wrong? It's puncture proof! You should always have a spare for anything in life. I’m sat outside a small cafe in a busy dirty Greek road drinking beer and I’ve ordered two in case the first one breaks.

Just finished a Bombay Sapphire distillery tour and cocktail masterclass. Great fun. G&T to start the tour then three doubles plus tasters (plus the ones my wife didn't want) in the masterclass. Haven't been this pissed before dinner for ages.

Visited Dover yesterday which is weird place. Walking along the cliffs was beautiful and the rest of it is quite a drab town with a fuck off great big port. Think I was stupidly expecting more seaside town than industrial pit.
Still had a great time and found an incredible Nepalese momo restaurant. Such great cuisine. Basically like having Chinese food alongside a curry.

Yesterday I had my first lie in since I've been off work (about 9 days) then went to the beach (begrudgingly) the kids were dickheads, the sea was very choppy and absolutely full of seaweed so really grim for swimming, really a pretty forgetful day, I tried to turn it around by taking the knobheads to the local skatepark later so I could have a few early evening beers whilst they skated but they didn't want to know, then just as the 'downtime' before bed arrived they (surprise surprise) suddenly decided they wanted to go - but too late by then! Started Farcry 6.
Today was off to the local trampolining place for them followed by a skatepark they like, home too late, tantrums, late dinners and tears, on the plus side my replacement Garmin watch arrived this morning and having spent probably a few hours today trying to set it up properly and connect it with the various apps etc I've finally done it.

Hang in there mate. Before you know it they'll be fucking off to Reading for four days with no contact at all, like our oldest. To dispel any doubt, he's 21 so it was absolutely fine.

I finally had a day to myself in my two weeks off in-between jobs (we've been away at friends, then had guests etc), had some lovely days but I had hit my limit of spending time with others and needed to go out on my paddleboard (especially as my new Hurley surf specific board has arrived). Got out too late so missed the high tide, and the conditions were too crap to go out, tried a couple of spots to no avail. Was proper bummed, and feeling very sorry for myself.
Decided to hit a garden centre on the way home and buy a load of new plants for the garden, and a couple of hours in the garden planting, pruning etc did me the world of good. Then had a watermelon ale in the sun and spent the evening with the family.
Got some nice plans over the next few days (two day Cornwall trip, couple of football matches) and then it's the new job on Monday. Hoping the week goes to plan 👍

That's a long time to spend in the air. I'd get bored after 16 hours or so

I watched Merseyside derby then went to the temporary flat I'm going to call home for the next 3-6 months, to do a spring clean before moving over this coming week.
We exchanged on the sale of our flat on Thursday after months of bullshit. Came very close to abandoning the whole thing, which started in January. Then after a few phone calls and 3 hours on Thursday it was suddenly exchanged. And now my life feels like it can finally move on. Fucking hate the state of housing in this country. Fingers crossed we find somewhere new quickly and we can actually afford it...

We ended the summer holidays with a short trip into Cornwall (hour and a bit drive for us), stayed in a pod in a field (nearby cafe and pub though, so had food on hand) and spent two days on beaches and in a kids theme park. Was a much needed family trip before school starts.
Big bonus for me was my daughter finally got a good session on her bodyboard (a proper one, not the cheap seaside jobbies you get). She absolutely takes after me and my love of the sea and surfing, so we spent an hour learning the waves at Polzeath and me basically helping her onto 1-2 foot waves (she's only 5 so I think that was a fantastic first step). She caught loads, but also stacked a few and was immediately up and ready to go again. Loved her resolve. We've already agreed on many more weekend trips before the winter season is upon us (I'll still go out, but it'll be far too cold for her).
Most back to school prep all done, tomorrow is my first competitive 11-a-side football match in donkeys (it's a pre-season veterans game) and then a chilled family afternoon together before early bed for her first day of school and my first day on the new job.

Afternoon at a neighbors birthday BBQ. She's a catwalk model, and so are her friends.
So, today, I've been, literally, surrounded by models.... Feeling old and old. I got pissed.
