Taking the kids bowling with my special lady friend. It's my last day with them this summer. Been a real blast, love the little weirdos.

It is a bit of weird/creepy title to call someone, girlfriend is just ridiculous for anyone over 30, it has to be partner surely?

I still call mine girlfriend after 13 years together and yeah, I realise it's a bit fucking weird... Partner just feels weirder somehow. Like I need more grey hair to justify using the word.

It was, for the record, said ironically.

Irony is lost on this forum, surely you know that?

Anyway!
My kids think she's great and she seems to feel the same. We also went to a cat café and had pizza while playing with kittens.

Congrats though.
I did sweet fuck all, it was hot and Aussie fathers day so had to call both Dad and Mum, arsed about for a bit and played Battlefront 2 in the afternoon. Cooked a chook in the weber and listened to some tunes. Now Dr Who and hope I can play a bit mor BF2 soon.

Started the new job today (fully remote), all my equipment has yet to arrive though and I can't access anything as I can't verify who I am on my personal laptop - so I've been doing what onboarding and reading I can (which hasn't been much) whilst willing the courier to hurry the fuck up.
I was procrastinating/stagnating like fuck in my last role and was really looking forward to hitting the ground running at the new place and challenging myself, and whilst it's not the end of the world, I'm a little peeved I haven't been able to do so today. I know not much is expected in the first few weeks, but I just wanted to shake the cobwebs off and get going. Quite frustrating day so far.

Day 6 of packing and moving house. Jesus, I'm only moving a two bed flat but fuck me it takes a lot of time now I'm not a student and actually own things like a sofa. I have never been so repulsed by the smell of myself before. 3 days of wearing the same clothes and ferrying possessions. Sweaty boi. Final day tomorrow and then completion on our sale Monday.

Why don't you change your clothes and have a shower you minger. Fair questions. The clothes I had were excellent for moving – mobile, lots of pockets, etc etc. I was in the zone. I just went with it. Showers... daily, but after about 30 mins each day, I was back to stench.

I bet next time you'll pay for a man eh? Trouble is, it's like, take a week off work and do it myself, or handover basically a month or more of salary. My parents used to run a furniture business, so it's also in my nature to do this shit myself, or feel the burning judgement of my folks. But I'm a big boy now, so maybe I'll pay next time aye...

Christ, shouldn't be that much! But yeah, I know what you mean - you think "I can do this". And soon realise why you don't very often.

This is my first 'real' move without being a student. First time I've moved at all in almost 7 years. Don't mind doing a week every 7 years, BUT, we are are in a temporary rental for hopefully less than 6 months, so removals people will probably be getting a call when we move next.

Definitely pay. We went with just removals the time before last, then thought fuck it and went for the full pack n' shift service last time. Never moving my own shit again unless we happened to ditch 90% of it!

A two bed flat shouldn't cost a months salary to move, unless you live in London, I guess

Just heading to work after a weeks annual leave. Feeling nice and refreshed. Today's sheet consists of a Lancaster-Blackpool, twice. A good day, away from the bus station and not much hanging round.

Travelling up to Gisborne for work. They've fucked me about moving my travel date four times since Friday. Going to spend every last penny of my food allowance to get revenge.
Also never been to Gisborne before, so looking forward to seeing whatever the fuck is there.

I hope you know it's pronounced Jizz-bourne?
