My son generally hates cartoons, but loves the old Popeye and Pink Panther. I'm pretty sure it's the random acts of violence and pain that appeal to him.

The just leaked BTS video showed how much effort had been put into it. WB and Discovery merging has been a disaster.
Well that's just ironic, WB have had it taken it down. |

Saw something about The Abyss getting a 4k remaster - though I'm guessing the resolution of whatever film stock the original theatre release had was higher than 4k??
Anyway, just between us, you can *train* your partner to roll over should they ever start snoring (not that a delicate dainty princess would ever snore) by saying "roll over" just like in the film! You just need to, erm, GENTLY nudge/kick while saying "roll over" for a few times before conditioning takes over. Never ever admit this.

4k release in cinemas on Dec 6th for one night only. It’s the special edition. No mention of home release but will probably be not too long after.

Mental that The Abyss hasn't had a home video release since the (non-anamorphic) DVD over 23 years ago.
Here's hoping it fares better than Terminator 2 on 4K, where Cameron did his best to disguise the fact it was ever shot on film.

Although I've just read that WB have done a complete 180 and are shopping this around now. Regardless WB are the absolute worst in movies AND games.

Oddly my son (17) discovered Tom and Jerry while trawling social media and enjoys it. Found some eps on NowTV which was good, but he only liked the classic series and not the newer ones. |

I wondered if this was the case as Gunn posted a picture of Wile E Coyote cooking something, which seemed to imply, er, something was cooking. Wish they'd do that with Batgirl and Scoob but I imagine those ships have sailed (or rather, have sunk). |

Yeah they can't release it now.
Sounds like some at Congress are pushing for WB to be investigated over it all now.
I saw yesterday that Batgirls 1 and only test screen scored a 67%.
In contrast Birds of Preys got less than 40%.

Don't pull at that thread film studios accounting has been shady af for decades. It's almost baffling how weirdly transparent they are in one way by publishing all their box office stats, yet all the actual way money is spent is so obfuscated.

***RELEASE DETAILS***
Some further clarification from Bill Hunt over at @thedigitalbits on the #JamesCameron releases:
1. Both versions of The Abyss will be included on both 4K UHD and Blu-ray.
2. Both versions of Aliens will be included on both 4K UHD and Blu-ray.
3. ALL THREE VERSIONS of Avatar will be included on both 4K UHD and Blu-ray.
4. The Blu-ray versions of The Abyss and True Lies are mastered from the new 4K scans.
5. The Blu-ray versions may eventually be available separately, but for now they’re exclusive to these 4K UHD + Blu-ray Combos.
6. All 4K presentations will include Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio on 100 GB discs.
7. All titles except Aliens will include new special features.
8. All titles will include the legacy special features.
9. 4K Digital versions of all these titles will be available on December 12th.
