So it would seem Gladiator 2 is actually pretty good.
Think I'll still wait till it's 4k release but good to know as the trailers really didn't sell it for me.

How much are IMAX screens usually? I remember nearly a decade ago now paying £25 at the BFI IMAX. But round here (Manchester-ways) they're a lot cheaper. I think maybe about £16? There are a few IMAX screens nearby but most are fairly small by their standards, other than the huge one at the Printworks in the city centre. Edited to add: I just got up my booking receipt from the last time I went to the Printworks IMAX, which was for Oppenheimer, and it cost me £13.99. Bargain! |

I wouldn’t mind if the screen was good at it but it’s about half the brightness it should be and last time I went the air con rattled every time there was a loud noise.
The normal screen is £16.

Yeah that kinda sucks.
Of the ones near me, the big Printworks one is excellent and really worth the money. The other two close by are a bit smaller; there's a Cineworld at Ashton which doesn't feel any bigger than those "Vue Xtreme" screens (or whatever they're called). But I still tend to go there because it's a bit of a shorter drive and I don't have to pay to park ;-)

I've just read that article and Apocalypse Now was my first thought too. I was about to go Google the film to make sure I wasn't mistaken, and see if there's a reason the BBFC lets it slide (was it an already-occurring ritualistic slaughter that they happened to film documentary-style?)
Anyway, there should be a statute of limitations on stuff like this. Yes, the rat survived; yes, he was probably distressed at the time. But he'll have been dead for, like, thirty years at least by now. Immortalise him, guys!
