Just looked online for Barbie tickets. Doing the Oppenheimer/barbie double bill in October with a few friends. Got tickets for the 70mm IMAX but the Barbie ones have not been released for that date yet.
Going to say it now. Billion Dollar Barbie is going to happen.

I know it's all manufactured rage but a few of the usual suspects (Ben Shapiro etc.) complaining that the Barbie movie is too woke is hilarious, and is serving as a great advert for the film.

I'm also drooling over that Grimlock model.
I mean, technically I do have enough in the bank... 🤔

Most of the stuff that seems to be possible to make is UK productions or based here as actors are under different union rules. Think the same may apply to writers.
Could lead to a small short term spike in UK film investment or just a shortage of films and tv, although from a selfish point of view it could mean I get a chance to actually catch up on some of what’s been made.

Odeon putting the Limitless price up 20% and telling me why that’s a good thing. Reasons include it features all the stuff I already get but costs more.

As with the Optimus Prime one, there’s that same awkward moment when it points its legs inward and looks like it’s squeezing one out.

A bit much revealed in the trailer but I suppose it all comes out in the end. Looks decent and I do like what Blumhouse are doing generally, so I will definitely give it a whirl. Did anyone watch the exorcist: the series? They got Chris McNeil back to tie it to the original too, but they re-cast her with Cagney off Cagney and Lacey, presumably because Ellen Burstyn is like 100 now. Does Linda Blair not act anymore or something?

Ellen Burstyn is 90 and had turned down doing any of the sequels for ages but the reason for why she came back for this is revealed in this interview from last year. www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/ellen-burstyn-exorcist-sequel-actors-studio-1235206864/
I’m sure you’ve been asked many, many times over the years. Why now?
You know, what happened was I’ve turned down many versions of The Exorcist 2. I’ve said no every time. This time they offered me a whole bunch of money and I still said no. And then they surprised me and they came back and said, “We doubled the offer.” I said, “OK, let me think about this.” I thought, “That’s a lot of money. Let me think about it.” The next thought that came to mind was: “I feel like the devil is asking my price.” And the next thought that came to mind was, “My price is a scholarship program for talented students at our master’s degree program at Pace University. That’s my price.” So I then went back and upped their up and ended up getting what I want. And I’ve got a scholarship program for young actors.

Fair play. As reasons for coming out of retirement, you cant knock it. You'd think getting Linda Blair would make more sense, though, unless she cant actually act anymore.

Initially wasn't sure about the trailer, but got better as it went along.
It is the guy that did the recent Halloween films though. The first was ok, but the second was absolutely shit. I haven't bothered with the third yet.
The original Exorcist is easily in my top 10 favourite films, maybe even in top 5. I don't have massive hope that this will be anywhere near worthy of the name, but hope it will at least be fine.

I’m sure it’s true. Steve Pemberton is surprisingly humourless outside of his acting.

The film has an IMDB page. Only a couple of photos from it, but they both appear to have someone in a green suit.

Hopefully the studios wise up so the SAG-AFTRA strike ends soon too.
