So many great scenes, but the best cameo for me was Marie It’s a divisive character, hard to love in many ways, but the pain, grief & outrage in the finale was just superbly acted

It really has been so long since I watched it but I don't even remember how the Nazis got involved at all. The jail witness murders/pest control front for methlabs/the methylamine train heist. I forget which came first

I think the Nazis started with Fatt Damon pestering Walt about his uncles all the time when he was working for the pest control place.

On my rewatch now I think Marie isn't too bad, she's nosey and a little self centered but she's not grating me anywhere near as much as skyler. Shes interesting because her paranoid behaviour is justified but you can see how walt may have needed to push back. I'm also in the hank was a dick camp aswell. It's shame we didn't get skyler or Walter Jr but I don't think there was anything to tie up there. Skyler got a deal which we heard about. I like that any theories of walt still being alive have been completly squashed aswell.
Everyone got the perfect send off.

I was never her biggest fan but it wasn't an unjustified appearance, kind of tied up the last strand from Ozymandias for me. Everyone else has had their five minutes.

I’d have liked another final appearance from Huell. He’s the only one who deserves a spin-off from the spin-off.

I am so glad we found out that Huell made it out of that room Hank had him in.
Yeah, Hank has always been a dick and that's what the Tortuga storyline was supposed to show. He's a big fish in a small, white pond. Put into an actual, multicultural situation and he was lost.
Skyler is fine. She's a woman who gave up a career as a novelist to raise a disabled child in the shitty US system, with a husband who threw their potential success away to be an even bigger dick. She was handled well.
On my rewatch, I like Gus the least. He's so one-dimensional. The Max stuff added some colour but Mike is the real MVP.

I agree with whoever said about not liking Marie. Banging on about Hank being such a good guy. No. Just like all the characters from BB, he was a dickhead. A big racist and just generally a piece of shit. Was a great ending though. Did it seem like Jimmy and Kim would continue to meet up? He seems in his element in prison. Overall preferred BCS to BB, because I loved the characters a lot more. But both are one in the same more or less. Need a BB rewatch. I hated Hank. Arrogant to a fault, and needlessly put others down around him, one of the main catalysts for Walter's mental snap. I agree that the characters are far more endearing in BCS, such as Jimmy, Kim, and Nacho. I didn't realise how brash and grating the characters in BB were in comparison, until recently. At the end of BB I don't think there was a single character I liked, that I was still rooting for. Maybe Jessie, who had a good heart, but allowed himself to be severely mislead.

I thought Hank had some of the best character development in the series tbh. Arrogant hothead who goes through major ptsd and trauma, and comes out the other side absolutely determined and focused. Him finding out the truth about Walt is absolutely fantastic acting, especially the “tread lightly” scene.

Hank and Marie are also the only ones who point out the fact that Walt/ Jessie are meth producers, who contribute and cause countless suffering of others.
I would have liked a bit more on the impact, on a general level, their actions had. What was the view like from the streets? Andrea's family dying as a result of their actions was a start but I would have liked to see more of what Hank/ APD had to deal with, especially with the impact of their super meth.
I also just rewatched Hank's death. Dude went out his own man, facing it.

One thing about Mike. He also just turned out to be a piece of crap just like Jimmy and all the rest. Nacho's dad called him out, too. The honour/code stuff is meaningless to anyone living a good existence, it's just an imaginary line used by people like Mike to justify their actions. Lalo was probably the most truthful character

Finally caught up with the past two episodes and can only say: Bravo.
Difficult to think the last ‘half’ of the season felt so different from the bright and breezy scams that we enjoyed in the earlier seasons. I think I’m going to enjoy the rewatch.

I did consider his character arc, and the way his injury humbles him, but he did treat Marie like absolute shit whilst bedridden, although that was obviously down to frustration, and the death throes of his old self. I suppose he did end up a more level-headed, less arrogant person, but he was always determined and focused when it came to the job. Being a good agent was never his weakness, and I think he was always willing to die to uphold the law.

He's obviously deliberately drawn as dislikable but there's genuine depth to his characterisation and his arc is one of the greatest things about BB. One of my favourite characters for sure.

Fantastic character, yes, absolute cunt, no way. That would suggest no redeeming qualities which I don't think is the case.
He's just a nob (an exquisitely written nob).

He's a deeply insecure man and it's written and played brilliantly. But for the way he treated Jesse towards the end I'd probably have gone with "not a cunt" but he did show a bit of a rotten side there.

You have to take into account he sees Jesse as responsible for much of the shit in his life, which isn't entirely wrong. If it wasn't for Jesse and Walt's actions, he wouldn't have been shot or in a car crash. He also sees the direct result of their actions on people.

Hank is a really good portrayal of a personality type I see in real life - fiercely loyal, hardworking, and kind to those in his circle of friends and colleagues, horrendous and rude to those he deems beneath him. I rewatched a couple of BB episodes from season 2 last night- the ones where Walt goes missing (actually abducted by Tuco) and you see all of Hank in minutes. The way he consoles Skyler, calls in favours and does all he can to find Walt, but then when Jessie shows up he’s an absolute arsehole to him. And also to his “meth-head girlfriend”, who as far as he knows isn’t even involved apart from possibly covering for him.
(Basically Hank is a Tory and could be any of a few people I know from work)

Finally finished this. Absolutely sublime, the 2nd half was brilliant. Ultimately, Jimmy had to come to the fore. It wasn't enough to eke out an existence. The last 2/3 episodes were astonishingly good. I am glad he did the right thing and found some peace with who he'd become, even if it was just to stroke his ego. . I'll miss the world. I may yet get my wife to watch the rest of BB and then BCS.

Jimmy and Walt are two sides of the same coin, really. Walt spends so long being nice, which he's rubbish at and just embraces his inner cunt. Jimmy is, fundamentally, a better person who tries to do the right thing but finds it easier and safer to be a knob.
