The first seven episodes of Season 6 start on 18th April, and the last six start on 11th July.
And there's... an animated series about a young Jimmy?

I genuinely thought the last season was the last.
Also that animation seems like....an odd direction to take things.

Awesome. Think it's wrapped up this season, isn't it? Need a refresher before it starts though. I will not be watching the animated series.

Yep, final season. Cannot wait. Here's an interesting profile of Bob Odenkirk, written on-set, out now as part of the publicity wave. Beware mild spoilers, which are mostly the writer talking about things he saw / heard that he can't mention because it's a spoiler, or trying to decide if it is. As annoying as it sounds.

Looking forward to this (not the animated show) - after the non-canon interlude of 'Nobody' it will be good to see a bit more Saul!

Think I'm only three seasons into this. Keep meaning to pick it up, then seeing that the last season is due. Might as well plan my binge for the summer to catch up with this season as it finishes in the middle of August.

Ah this is brilliant news. I was starting to lose hope.
Such a great series. I can't understand it when people tell me they didn't really get into it. It far exceeded my expectations.
That said, I'm definitely going to have to refresh my memory. A lot of shit went down in the last series.

Series 4 was a massive drag. I have stopped caring about building the lab. More Nacho and Lalo, please. Felt like the last two years of spinning wheels.
I assume we get the customary present day tease in episode one, first half of series is about the final leap to Breaking Bad and then second half if the wrap up of Gene's story.

Not sure if it counts as a spoiler when the official Twitter gives it away but:

Not sure whether to wait until it's all out, or do half n half

It's a split season thing, which seems to be the new normal for some reason... Gap between the end of May and middle of July.

If Walt's going to be in it for some reason, it needs to be short.
Like he's at the mechanic complaining about how he almost had an accident because the car brakes aren't working properly. And then the mechanic goes "So... would you say that your car is BRAKING BAD?!", while winking right at the camera. Then Walt says "No, that's a dumb way to put it, why would you say that" and goes to another mechanic.

Also, Jesse's appearance probably needs to be short too, because he looks a lot different to how he looked in BB.

It's been suggested that they are just cameos. I can slightly imagine Walt is during Breaking Bad but it's likely Jesse is during Gene time.
Did a series 5 rewatch and they JUST about got away with Hank and Steve, but Don Eladio looked old as fuck. You can also see where they're trying hard with Gus' hair.
Given that both Nacho and Lalo stem from the scene in BB series 2, ep 8 where Walt and Jesse have Saul in the desert, I'd say that's the most likely crossover period. Something with Tuco coming out of jail.
But it feels really unnecessary.

Really looking forward to the new series on Tuesday, far more than any other series in the last few years. I don't understand the people who didn't get into it.
Might have to watch the last series over the weekend in anticipation.

Can’t wait for this. I’m most interested in where they take Kim Wexler‘s story, love that character

Also looking forward to this! Agreed I'm much more interested in Kim's story vs Walt and co making a cameo. I do quite like Lalo too. I am struggling to remember most of the details from the last few seasons though - seems like a long time ago!!

I don't mind a bit of fan service, and I'd be surprised, given how careful they are with the writing in general, if they fell into the trap of having any of it revolve around Walt/Jessie.

I love this show, but I think the BB fan service is easily the worst part of it. You've already got great characters! You don't need to bring back Mike and Fring and all the rest of them!
But if Walt and Jesse have to be involved, fine, I guess. It makes more sense for Jesse, since he's the one who told Walt about Saul in the first place.

On a different note, I think Howard might be my favourite character. At the start you never think that you'd ever feel sympathy for him, but he's actually one of the most sympathetic characters on the show. He's such a nice guy!

Yeah. He puts up with some shit. For me, I care most about Nacho, Lalo, Howard and Kim. Mike doing things is really watchable but his story feels so redundant because of...well...BB.
Really, they've shot themselves in the foot with so much BB connection and could have been fine just doing Salamancas and such.

Two episodes as well, I was unprepared for the next one being available straight away as I had things to do.
Good start and no spoilers but I will say one thing, the owner of the house in the opening scene has appalling taste.

Ha, the opening scene is something of an allegory that I would *love* to see play out in real life

Tell you something about Better Call Saul, which has no relevance to the show.
When it first premiered, I was working in Yorkshire and there was a bloke on site who kept calling it "Gonna Call Saul". Nails on a chalk board.
He also told me he was at Leeds 92 and opted to see James Brown over Nirvana because, logically, he didn't think James Brown would be around much longer.
