Probably switch to that after you've eaten enough to get fat and smooth out your face

Learn to have as expressionless a face as possible at all times. When you masturbate aim for your face unless it’s in public. I burst out laughing when I read this you bastard and my wife asked what was so funny! Had to mumble something about "people moisturising"

Lab Series is ridiculously overpriced GQ ponce stuff. I only buy it to a) treat myself with my Boots points and b) feel superior. That said, their anti-aging serum was pretty good and I did notice a small difference to my general skin tightness/clarity etc. I got three bottles of that on clearance though, no way I would've paid full whack for them.
The No 7 Men's stuff is pretty good and always on offer/twofer.
Elemis is again overpriced but worth buying when on offer. Their fragrancing can be an acquired taste though.
I also recommend Anthony (a US men's range). They smell glorious (if synthetic) and the blue kelp body scrub they do does wonders for my dry skin bits.
I've got a few Aesop bits and bobs and again they're stupidly expensive but have a high essential oil/natural ingredients content, and again smell glorious.
Jack Black is nice but again overpriced. Their daily SPF moisturiser is good though
A No 7 anti-aging serum and decent moisturiser will do you.
Probably the biggest difference you can make to your skin is using something with retinol in it, but you have to use it consistently and expect months before it affects your skin's replenishment cycle enough to see any difference. Also a lot of people are sensitive to it. Also, it makes you more sensitive to UV so you need a decent SPF to put on after, or just use it overnight.

Also Clinique Men's stuff is pretty good and you can get starter sets/travel packs for 'cheap' when Boots do their endless offers. I do swear by their exfoliating tonic, though.

I had heard retinol is the stuff to get. I'm ginger. Extra sensitivity to UV will make fuck all difference to me. I've got to hide under a blanket if someone so much as strikes a match as it is.

Caveat this, bitch.
Just making sure people know what they're getting into when they start pointing at melanomas and blaming me. The most popular women's overnight creams all have retinol in, those ladies swear by it.
I USE MAX STRENGTH. COME TO ME ASKING FOR ADVICES.

anephric Not heard of lab series before. I'll maybe give it a go. Use lady products. They're generally nicer to your skin and you can easily get unscented stuff, whereas as the bloke stuff is always loaded with sandalwood or some other fragrance just in case you forget you have a dick. Wait, I have a... /looks down Ha, so I do. Totally forgot that was there. Been married too long.

Yeah, I think I'll take some wrinkles over an increased chance of skin cancer.
Well, if it makes people happy, I've actually applied moisturiser tonight for the first time in ages. I better look gorgeous in the morning. I keep meaning to use the stuff, but never seen to have the time.

It's fine if you just use it overnight. Some of the serums come with SPF protection built in, so you're all good. Retinol is generally accepted as the most effective thing you can use on aging skin to kick it up the arse, it accelerates your skin renewal cycle so older dermis is shed and fresh new baby skin is promoted.

I am shamefully basic with my products. Nivea or Bulldog sensitive, depending whats on offer. Only ones of the bog standard range that don't feel like they are stripping my skin bare. May start using a night cream though

The random bottle of "moisturiser I think" that's been on my bedside table for months vainly trying to guilt me into using it is Bulldog. Obviously I've no idea if it works as I've not been using it
Hopefully it won't have peeled my face off overnight.

Got any tips on the latest handbag fashions How did you know I have manbags? What could have given it away in the 500 word essay I wrote about men's toiletries? Always go Gucci. Where's that money-saving thread gone? Don't buy Gucci bags, they're really expensive.

Stopped buying it when they stopped doing page 3. Hey I gave solid advice earlier I have acne prone skin because rosacea, so I use a facewash for that and oil free moisturiser (loreal I think, I just order more when I'm low. It's in a blue pot). I should mask up but it sends my face angry

I am shamefully basic with my products. Nivea or Bulldog sensitive... Here also. I use Nivea Sensitive* After Shave Balm, L'Oréal antiperspirant and shower gel, shave properly using an actual brush, solid soap and a DE safety razor, and that's about it. I'm fifty and both me and the Mrs. honestly look younger than we are/younger than most of our friends. *I actually only use the Sensitive one because the original one became harder to get. I used to love the alcohol ZING that it gave you, but I'm not even sure you can get it anymore. The Sensitive one works just fine, but I do miss that zing!

Big +1 for the Nivea shaving balm - I haven't used anything else for years.
Actually, I also use their antiperspirant and lip balm, so I guess I'm just a Nivea fanboy.

As far as men's products smelling of sandalwood or petrol or Yorkie bars or other such masculine nonsense goes, all I can say is my hair conditioner uses coconut oil and I'm quite happy with that, even if it's girly. Maybe especially if it's girly.

Until recently, I was a regular customer of the Nivea Cool Kick AP - I probably will go back to it again when it's on offer as it's very effective and is sometimes a cracking price in the supermarket. The L'Oréal one is almost as good, goes well with their various shower gels, which I use exclusively and really like, and was on offer last time I bought.

Maybe especially if it's girly. On the subject of scents:- I was outside Harrods (ooh, get her!) in Old Larndarn Tarn back in 2018 or so, and there was the most marvellous smell of perfume where we stood. I'm not a regular-enough visitor to know whether this is a constant thing, or whether it was just something on the day. Since then, I have always wanted to know what the fragrance was. It was a sort of sweet, nutty smell, quite deep and dark. It was amazing. Happily, one of the L'Oréal shower gels I keep banging on about has an almost similar fragrance. For anyone in the know - is it always the same, and is there a way of finding out what it was?

Oud? That's good a sort of strong woody, smokey smell. Real stuff is incredibly expensive, though.
In Riyadh, they have an Oud store at every mall and shopping outlet, it's definitely the fragrance of choice in the Arabic world.

If I find out what Oud smells like for myself, and this thread is still going strong, I'll report back Edit: And I'm already thinking...I've definitely heard of that ingredient before, having lived and worked with a fair few from the Middle Eastern community - I bet it was something based on that, you know. Thanks!

Harrods stock actual oud colognes, rather than the synthetic oud you get in most, upwards of two grand a bottle.
I'm surprised someone didn't come out and charge you just for smelling it.

This. Its working for me. See also going gray or balding. I was going to like this because damn, that's some black humour. A contextless like might have given the wrong impression though.

You can freely give it an awkward like. He made the joke himself.
But I definitely read that and went "damn!"
