I've been moisturising since I was about 13 years old on account of some medication I had to take then really fucking with my skin. The upside of that is I'm forty this year and don't really look it outwardly. Inside I'm a shambles.

I subscribed to a whole load of man products during lockdown (shampoo, face wash, moisturiser and shaving stuff). Good quality actually but they then stuck the prices up so wasn't worth it.

I could repeat what others have said, but I think diet and not too much sun are probably the most important thing. Moisturising is superficial, the rate you shed skin cells, it makes no difference to the ageing process.

Moisturising isn't really a scam, especially as your skin gets older and particularly if you work outside/are exposed to the elements, but it is a thing you have to do consistently. There's all sorts of fancy peptides and ceremides that claim to lock in your skin's moisture.

Anything that costs over a certain amount, yes I agree. You're paying for an aura of ponciness. If it's just a decent moisturiser you want, anything over a tenner is a con, unless you really believe in gibberybollocks peptide science etc.
