Meh, with Neil I lose one song out of my library, if spotify starts to censor their content I’d lose 1/4th of my library.

He's basically your mate who smokes too much weed. And wants to talk about something he watched on YouTube about the moon landings everytime you see him.

Just read that Eric Clapton thinks he was hypnotised by subliminal messaging on YouTube to take the vaccine.

I wouldn't be surprised to see other artists follow suit. It's not like it'll financially hit them that hard.
Then Spotify will have to pick what their priorities are, podcasts or actual artists.

Just read that Eric Clapton thinks he was hypnotised by subliminal messaging on YouTube to take the vaccine. Of course, I think there is some irony in that the proponents of the "mass formation hypnosis," theory have, as far as I can tell, feel victim to this themselves, as they swallow any old shit that somebody tells them. Twats like that washed-up racist are so desperate to be anti-mainstream they just lap up anything that go against the popular view, even if the popular view is backed up by more data and actual facts.

That's an entirely fair description of Rogan, and when that's all he was it could be entertaining at times. Problem is he started to believe that his own intelligence and insight had any value, but previously he would happily admit to being ignorant.

Prompting me to look elsewhere for my music needs as well. For those interested in checking out Tidal, looks like it has means of importing playlists from Spotify, so should give an easy way of checking if your regularly played music is available through them.
Edit: just quickly tried this myself and seems it uses third party services for importing playlists. Seems very limited what you can transfer without paying. Might have to do it manually.

So far, Tidal has been really good. All my playlists imported and very little missing (only the most obscure of artists). We'll see what the rest of the household thinks, but it seems like a go-er to me.

Started looking for ways to transfer my Spotify playlists to YT music without paying and just gave up. They either have a limit on how much you can transfer per day or a song limit on playlists.
Seem to recall doing a bit of DIY CSV or XML jiggery pokery when I moved from Google music to Spotify, but that was only a single small playlist at the time and I really can't be fucked with that now.
If anybody finds something that'll work with playlists with over 1000 songs then let me know... Web or Android

I’ve been looking to switch as well, my dj’ing software doesn’t play nice with spotify anymore. Tidal does I think, but last time I looked it was a bit more expensive.

Just looked at Joe Rogan's Twitter. Literally every post is a retweet of an anti-vax post.
I do like the poster of Joe MIddleclass though.

Yeah, Tidal works fine with DJay, if thats what you mean. Spotify stopped working in like june last year, I think, so I took out a trial and its basically the same functionality. Good point, actually. That has swung my migration back around to tidal.

Is amazon music any good? I've said this elsewhere but fwiw: It's cheap. Very cheap if you have Prime and you pay up front. And it's got the same library as the rest of them and in high bitrate. I think I'm paying something like £6.80 a month which is a lot cheaper than TIDAL/Deezer other "hi-fi" services. Buuuuuut, the UI is really, really bad. Recommendations often just default to the one specific thing you were last listening to. Albums are listed by popularity by default and there's no way of differentiating between singles and albums. It's just all a bit of a mess tbh. So....yeh, I wouldn't recommend it as such. But if you've got a big list of playlists and that's your main thing they're easy enough to transfer over.

I wonder if the anti-vax/freedum people are just more easy to grift? Having said that I suppose I bung the odd tenner at people/groups on the opposite side.
