Why does every UK supermarket ad say that they price match Aldi? Surely they are all just advertising Aldi? Basically trying to say you can now get the same products at aldi prices without the poor customer service while also being able to get the Sainsbury's out Tesco quality products in one shop. But let's add the Tesco trolly "I can be your Hero" ad to the list I can't think of a single ad I like at the moment. |

I just had the weird revelation that i have *never* seen a tv ad for a supermarket in Japan. I asked the missus why, and she said 'everyone just goes to the supermarket, why would they need tv ads?'. Which shut me up.  |

Oh the Sky Glass ones are another annoying advert like the EE fibre one where they pretend to have something completely mind blowing, when it has been possible for a long time (even more so, as you can find lots of other ways to stream stuff, whereas you can't land planes for home yet). If anyone thinks Sky Glass is like magic, just wait until they discover Netflix!

My kids want one of those sky glass tvs. It's like a tv, but it'll do streaming so you can watch what you want!! They try to persuade me, as they stream whatever they want on the tv we have.

I know they were trialling a £5.99 package - sans YouTube Music - in certain countries, which might be the right choice.
I pay £1.32 a month for my YouTube Premium. Signed up through India with a VPN and never looked back. |
