Y'know, I'm sure I remember them talking about rebooting Fun House. This was maybe in about 2010, after we'd brought back Finders Keepers (remember that?).
If there were actual, proper plans for it, then it probably fell by the wayside after CITV spent all their money on the Thunderbirds reboot.

That's totally true, although in this case I worked for the company so I meant it was being discussed in the office. Unless I'm misremembering.
CITV never had a lot of money so often there was enthusiasm even at an executive level that just never translated into actually making a programme.

I've picked up TWD where I left off and Disney+ is annoying the shit out of me with the same ads three times per episode.
BSL girl and then 30 years of Searchlight every fucking time. I wouldn't mind if there was just a little variety.
Annoyingly adguard blocks them successfully, but skips 15 seconds or so of the show when ads are due so I ended up whitelisting them, then just yarred it instead after 5 episodes.

All their adverts are obnoxious twee shite. The one where the young woman arrives in the hellscape city (that Amazon no doubt created) and proceeds to carve out her little house plant paradise via buying all her shit from amazon... it's just advertising created by AI at this point.

All the Christmas ads feel a bit busy, this year. Might be because I’m too tired to make head or tail of it but the John Lewis one doesn’t really land any messages for me. The M&S one has too much going on as well.

I really hate how adverts interrupt streaming services. It's actually worse than broadcast adverts as they seem to be inserted with no mind to pacing.
Or cynically they'll be timed to jump in right at the most dramatic moment.
And unless I've missed them, there aren't any bumpers or idents so it will just cut from the show to the advert with nothing in between, I think that's the most annoying aspect for me.
I'd actually hate them less of it was made clear when the adverts are starting.
I block the ads anyway usually, so only notice if try to watch something on a different device. If my blockers are defeated I'll probably just stop bothering to stream anything, there's very few shows that actually holds my interest these days.

So I'm not aware on how it works but there are certain Twitch streams I will go to where everything's fine? At worst you get hit with an ad break of about 1 min long like every 30 mins maybe?. But there are others Ive seen playing Overwatch where there are 3 min long ad breaks every 5-10 mins or so. I assume it's a streamer by streamer basis, I just can't imagine why they would think this would be an acceptable way to watch a stream, unless it's out of their control? It's always the same ads too.
