I think I put this on the other annoying advert thread but Melissa McCarthy does not do middle ground. It’s either Can You Ever Forgive Me, Bridesmaids, Spy, or the other 99% of unbearable shit she does, Booking.com ad included. She’s basically the female Adam Sandler.
Maybe there just aren’t that many good roles written for women like her, or maybe she just says yes to everything because it pays the bills and surely by the nature of statistics a few might be good.
