The thing I liked about Coke was they had seasonal ads. Yeah there was the wretched Christmas ad with the trucks, but you also had the Wimbledon ad where they showed a bit of boob.

The Christmas radio ad for Coke just plays the music and doesn't mention the product at all. You gotta respect any ad campaign with so much recognition that you can do that. I remember the early days of "The Internet", when the Tango (soft drink) website was highly praised for having the name Gotan, rather than Tango, and not really mentioning the product at all. |

I’m presuming the woman in the current Coke ad is some celebrity or influencer that has taken the corporate dosh in order to paint a picture of Coke being the perfect product to prove it makes you a wonderful person with friends - including the obligatory ones of different ethnicities, to prove you’re not racist - rather than a loner sitting on the sofa with a ready meal for one.

I don't mind covers of songs usually, but the woman doing the version of The Pixies "Where Is My Mind?" used in the current Air Pods advert annoys me. She does the words either too slowly or too quickly, and it grates on me.

But no, it’s fucking intolerable. |

Whenever I use YT without an ad blocker I'm genuinely staggered by how obscene the frequency of advertisements is. You quite often can't go a minute without an advert. It's levels of magnitude worse than actual television
Also, any advert that starts with some twat telling you a secret to making money
