Can't she just snort it off the table? Oh, Mr. Lardy Dah “We’ve got a table”! #TeasOnKnees It was a big day when we got trays to put on our knees

Just remembered we used to make our own pizzas using white bread, ketchup and cheese under the grill that we had to light with a match as the igniter broke 5 years ago. ... I've got something in my eye, excuse me! Done that too as a kid, like a really povvo Welsh rarebit. With the match too. It would probably break my student's brains if I told them I did this as kid.

Alright it's just a yellow post-it note stuck on the wall, but I'm still looking for someone else to pay for it.

I've got something in my eye, excuse me! At the risk of derailing away from the core food discussion, this has reminded me that we used to have Christmas crackers made out of toilet roll middles and wrapping paper.
And we still weren't allowed to pull them - we had to unwrap them carefully so they could be reconstructed to be used again the next year.
I remember asking religiously for a Megadrive for Xmas and getting a skateboard. Good times.

I remember asking religiously for a Megadrive for Xmas and getting a skateboard. Good times. I had a similar thing, only we got the Megadrive because my Ma worked in a pub with a Golden Axe arcade machine and she wanted to play it at home as well. I realise this is not comforting. It did take another 8 months for me to get my skateboard though. The fact that I preferred to staying in playing Streets of Rage at the time of receiving the board has never dulled the initial pain

Within five minutes of lying flat on my skateboard it hit a stone and ploughed my face into a kerb. A Megadrive would never have done that! I may need to meditate on this experience too. It definitely baggage I may not have processed.

It's "lah-dee-dah", peasant. Rees-Mogg will be over with the killsquad shortly I’d love to say I was going for some sort of baking reference, but I only realised my error after posting, and accepted it as a stroke of luck. If Mogg can find his way up to my upstairs lounge, he can have a biscuit.

I used to live on sachets of instant pasta in my student days. You basically added milk and cooked it in a pot for a few minutes. Voila a plate of restaurant quality fine dining. This is the stuff. Supposed to be a "side dish" but it made a perfectly fine main for a poor fat bastard. Many is the time I'd make a pasta sandwich. For the true Italian experience I'd occasionally dip the sandwich in tomato sauce. /Chefs kiss

Cornish pasties are dreadful. Dry, boring and tasteless. There. I said it. Yes, although I'm yet to have one in Cornwall. And also your (NZ) pies are generally much, much better than UK pies. The fish and chips are still godawful though, although that's true for much of the UK too.
