I still mostly enjoyed it anyway, but glad it's hopefully coming to an end with S5.

Yeah don't disagree with these and yet I still had fun.

It's almost as if the writers strike and some top tier TV floundering a little could be connected somehow...

I've only just started Gen V but straight away it feels like a b-tier cash-in, although I'm spending a lot of time trying to force my brain to believe the quite obviously 30 year old actor is 18. Maybe I'll like it more if I get over that and any of the characters develops a personality.

The main series is good because of Ennis' characters, even if it diverts quite heavily away from the comics - the core goodness and engaging set up is baked in. You can tell Gen V doesn't have the special sauce. Hard to get excited by another spin-off.

Unless it gets amazing reviews I won’t bother.
