Biden is extremely experienced and effective at getting stuff done. He got through a great deal of legislation and funding despite razor thin margins in the houses. He's not actually a doddering old fool. Well he's either a doddering old fool, a criminal mastermind who's effectively a Mafia don or both according to some people. Oh. I think the Colorado (supreme court and district court) decision to ban Trump from the ballot is pretty seismic. Puts the US Supreme Court in a difficult position - do they agree which means they confirm he instigated an insurrection (and thus disqualified) or do they say "yea you can try and overthrow the government and still run for President". If the former, then I can see other states follow suit - although not all.

The Colorado ban has led to Republican states threatening to take Biden off their ballot purely out of revenge. It was also originally caused by a petition brought by six Republicans based on a ruling by a Republican-nominated judge.
The right don’t need the Democrats to trash the democratic process, they just need to pretend it’s the Democrats who are involved.

I did hear someone say the other day that polling shows that if he is convicted he would lose 25% of his support. I imagine that some of those won't actually turn away from him and will find some excuse to keep on drinking the kool-aid, but even if it was half that then he wouldn't stand much of a chance of actually winning the Presidency.
It seems inevitable that he must be convicted for at least some of the charges, but it is likely he will be the Republican nominee before that happens.
