If Thronebreaker had been 2.49 I'd have gone for that instead of Witcher 3.

PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate - Looks like a fun co-op game that'll remind me of playing Thrust on BBC Micros. It was amazing back in the PS3 days not least because of the crisp 1080p60 graphics and the fluid simulation. Do consider trying the classic graphics style, I actually prefer the clean original look to the somewhat fancier modern one. It's a very fun little game, even though I found the co-op a little underwhelming because it felt like we were getting in each other's way more than actually helping each other. If you like the style, maybe take a look at Pixeljunk Eden, also in the sale for another hour or so. It's a different game that defies genres, but it's pretty chill and has a nice electronic soundtrack.

Isn't that all co-op games? I'm not really sure why they call it co-op. It should be something like instigate-arguments instead. I have actually had PixelJunk Eden for years and years, but never gotten around to trying it.

Heh I guess you could say that about many co-op games, at least to varying degrees. But a second player can also be helpful depending on the game, because combined firepower and such. It's just that in Pixeljunk Shooter, as great as the game is, I didn't find it helpful at all since it's mostly about carefully chipping away rocks according to a plan in your head. But of course, by all means give it a shot.

I enjoyed playing PJShooter co-op. It's a lovely game and the co-op-ness added a certain amount of chaos to the run of things. I played it with the same person I finished Portal 2 with, and we're still friends

The only notable game I got during this sale was Half Life Alyx, in preparation for the PSVR2 PC adapter that's coming late in the summer; bring this on I say...

If you have kids and don't already have them, Humble have a pretty big Lego games bundle. www.humblebundle.com/games/lego-worlds-collide-ultimate-assemblyAll the levels seem decent, depending on how much Lego Gaming you want in your life. The only caveat is that a bunch of these have been given away either free or in previous bundles, so you might already have a bunch of them (I do). Oh, and a few of them can be a bit buggy at times.

Dead space 2+3 for £7 might have to happen.

Wondering if I should grab Undungeon... Has anybody here tried it? It seems like setting and story could be interesting.

If you're into detective games the latest Humble Bundle seems decent. $10 is less than the lowest Immortality has been on its own, plus you get Paradise Killer, Darkside Detective and a bunch of other ones thrown in. www.humblebundle.com/games/detectives-bundle

that's fair, and you probably know if you have those tastes from the screenshots. if newtonian-model drifting/boosting around a 2d system pew-pewing rocks, the occasional pirates, appeals then have at it

Just picked it up. When I was learning unity I made a version of Asteroids where you used your thrusters to destroy the roids, so the concept of playing a fully fleshed out and competent version of that appeals greatly!

I got Breathedge free on EGS a while back so check if you have it there first.
I got a 12 is better than 6 key for steam in another freebie. I really like that game, it pulls no punches with the one hit kill difficulty but its very good when you get the hang of it, especially the wonky pad control. Well worth 99p though.

Gris is 90% off for ~1.50 quid for a week. Great opportunity to try this "overwhelmingly positive" game risk-free, I just grabbed it.

Humble has a bundle with a whole bunch of classic/retro games. And by this I mean VERY old. Will probably only be of interest to people who are into retro games, though it does have Severance: Blade of Darkness www.humblebundle.com/games/sneg-video-game-classicsPS/ Are there any mods around here who can change the thread title to 'Steam/GOG/Humble/etc... Sale' ? Or do mods not venture into the PC section?
