It's bloody good actually, the guns feel great to use and some of the titan action is bombastic as all hell. Running at a locked 90 onto the deck and controls great. The obly issue I've got is actually the screen size and lots of enemies in the mid to far distance.
Being able to 'paint' an area in front with the titan and unleashing a fuck tonne of rockets in their general direction solves my problem and looks cool AF

£2.49 for one of the best FPS campaigns of all time is definitely a good deal (although I think it has been similarly priced before). I believe the multiplayer still has a few people playing too. Well I'm bloody sold

The acronym for Titanfall 2 can't be TF2 as that's been taken for a while and it's Team Fortress 2.

Can't tell you I'm afraid however, I usually just go on youtube and look for perf examples of a game running.
It's not let me down yet (Deathloop via egs being the exception)

Broke my no new games rule, by picking up a Digital Eclipse bundle, with Atari 50 collection, The Making of Karateka and LlamaSoft: The Jeff Minter Story. I'm not familiar with the games that these focus on at all (other than some of the Atari ones, and that is more from cultural osmosis rather than my own experience), being a little younger and my gaming formative years being 90s and computer based. I love the documentary/museum piece approach they have taken with these though and looking forward to finding out more about the games.
There is also a remake of a Wizardry game in the bundle. Could have skipped that, but it was effectively free, with the individual cost of the other games being only a few pence more. Again, don't really know anything about the Wizardry series. Didn't even know this remake existed. No idea if it is something I will like, but can give it a go.

I've decided to not buy anything after all as I should try and play the games I've bought / got free and not started yet, and should give a few other games another go

There are soo many odd little wishlist items I have that I'm fighting the urge to pickup. It's all stuff from when I was solely on consoles before coming back to pc and are literally on sale for the price of a shitty McD burger.
Bulletstorm, DeusEx Human Rev, Doom etc.
If it wasn't for preordering Horizon and it being here in 2 days I don't think I'd be giving it any real thought

Jeff Minter's games often had a weird form of copy protection, where if you had a pirated version it'd start putting rude words on the screen.
I remember as a kid, going into a Comet store and they had a demo of a new console (Saturn, maybe?) running one of his games, probably Tempest, so I started playing it.
It was a weird trippy game where you moved on a grid and dodged as words like 'jizz' and 'fistfuck' flew out of the screen.

Grabbed Cyberpunk 2077 and Hades. Was tempted to pick up a few more, but since Christmas I've bought enough games to last me a couple of years (in addition to ye olde perpetual backlog), so I'm reinstating the rule that I'm not allowed to buy anything I'm not actively planning to play in the near forseeable future.

Not directly on Steam, but Humble has an Earth Defence Force bundle with a whole bunch of games and DLC. I know nothing about it, except I think it's one of those games that people call a guilty pleasure. Is the $1 tier for EDF 4.1 worth grabbing? www.humblebundle.com/games/earth-defense-force-friends-uniteSimilarly, Fanatical has a Build your Own Special Editions bundle, which seems like a good way to grab 40k Sanctus Reach with all its DLC for $5 (and it's a slightly old mid-reviewed slitherine game so the DLC is often when the price skyrockets) But there is basically nothing else I want in there and I need two games for the $5-ish base tier. Hmm. www.fanatical.com/en/pick-and-mix/build-your-own-special-editions-bundlePS/ I'm just using this thread for pretty much any discount on PC games, as they almost all are redeemable on steam anyway (except GOG and Epic)

Journey is currently very discounted on steam to 1.79gbp. It hasn't been down below about a fiver in the time I've been tracking it, so it's a pretty good deal. There's also a bundle including Flower for 2.96 Since I hear Journey is better with some light co-op elements, it might also be a good chance to play it while the player base is temporarily larger. store.steampowered.com/developer/annapurnainteractive/sale/skyearlyaccesscelebrationPS/ If you already own Bloodstained there's apparently a bundle with that which will save you a few more pence.

Just wanted to say that, in a break from tradition, I actually downloaded and played Journey after buying it.
The fact it's only apparently about 3hrs long, and only a 3Gb download helped.
I haven't finished it yet, but it's great. Looks stunning, especially given its age, and the way its mechanics work is really nice. Highly recommended for 1.79!

Yeah, I was trying to do it in one sitting, but it was getting too late. I'm probably pretty near the end so I'll try and finish it off tonight.

Played it back on PS3 once and once only. Met another anonymous player early on and we went through the whole game together.
Was such a great session that I felt captured the unknown and mysterious world so well that I wanted to keep it that way.
Odd but unique. Highly recommended.

I didn't need to buy it, I have quite a few different games going at the moment but update 2 just dropped for Captain of Industry so it's popped back into my crowshairs again.
It's been on my wishlist for quite a while but a drop to £20 and the new update with extra stuff has tipped me over.

Me too, but then I lost them at one point and it felt really lonely

Likely to be a bunch of Star Wars games on sale, what with the date. (Just found out a cinema in town is doing all 9 star wars movies this weekend. Though of course they're all already sold out )

Star Wars Squadrons is about £2 too. Just picked that up for the VR. Squadrons in VR is excellent. One of the best showcases for it. Been meaning to go back to it since picking up a joystick.

Not Steam, but PC sale: Minecraft is having a sale, which doesn't happen that often. PC (Java + Bedrock versions) for $14.99 (50% off) www.minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft-java-bedrock-edition-pcI think the other versions might have discounts too. (edit: looks to me like xbox is 50% off and other platforms not, but I haven't checked properly). If anyone doesn't have it yet or wants to grab an extra copy to play with kids etc..
PS/ I think it's on Gamepass as well, but wouldn't know as I don't have it. I assume that'd only be Bedrock version though.
