Got a few more before the sales had ended:
- Wolcen - Lords of Mayhem - Solasta - Crown of the Magister
on Steam, and
- Zombasite
- Amid Evil
on gog.

I keep meaning to go back to Wolcen to see how it's improved. It had the bones of a decent ARPG at launch but needed a bit more polish.

I did look it up again and I always forget in how much of a bad state it was when it first released.

The only one I picked up directly from Steam was Refunct, a short 25 min 1st person parkour game that looks kinda relaxing, has been on my wishlist for ages, and was only about 70p.
I got that mainly with steam points because if you don't buy something direct from Steam every year it blocks you from some functionality, and I mainly get steam games from other stores.
I also picked up Skyrim from GreenManGaming I think.

Firewatch is currently 1.67gbp on steam, which is an all-time low I think. (90% off) Personally, I found it slightly disappointing after really wanting to play it for ages, but it's certainly well worth that much, and I know a lot of other people loved it. store.steampowered.com/app/383870/Firewatch/

Count me in as one who loved it, despite it not being quite as clever as it wants to be. Well worth it at that price.

Damn I did not need to see this had started. So many games I'd like to try on the Deck that are now reduced.

I am tempted by Need For Speed Unbounded, would never pay full price but for 6 quid it seems worth a punt.
Also tempted by God of War, though I'll probably get that via GOG for the same price.

If anyone has young kids (age 3-7 ish) then there's a bundle of loads of Humongous Entertainment games for $14. The first 2-3 games each in Putt Putt, Freddi Fish and Pajama Sam are good Lucasarts-style adventure games for kids. (Maybe Spy Fox as well, but I have no experience of those) Some of the later games have better graphics but worse reviews. There's also a couple of Edutainment titles like Big Thinkers and Buzzy, although I've found those slightly superseded by all the online learning stuff these days. They held their attention for a day or two though. The mini-game collection spinnoffs aren't worth bothering with in the age of online/mobile games though. www.humblebundle.com/games/spring-into-learning-complete-humongous-collection

got myself Far Cry 5. was eyeing it for some time given that we are fighting against MAGA crowd so storywise its appealing even though gameplay itself is not my favorite. but 3 coffees worth is not a bad price. 1h so far and having a blast to be honest.

I've gotten Arzette (that CD-I game), Dorfromantik and Halo MCC for the Steam Deck, and I think I'll get We Love Katamari too.

Time for some indulging. Grabbed a few bigger titles, namely "King Arthur - Knight's Tale", "Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters" and "Black Geyser - Couriers of Darkness". And a few smaller games for sightseeing. There was finally a good offer on "It's Summer".

Ah, probably should get that too. I mean I have it on Origin, but it remains a hassle to keep that running on Steam Deck. It easily runs at 60 on SD. Probably higher on the OLED one.

Titanfall 2's campaign is great.
Personally i wouldn't want to play it on a stream deck, but that's more about my preferring a bigger screen and a more and keyboard for that kind of game.

I assume the controls work on a gamepad, but it's a much more movement based FPS than the usual, and I always feel like those wouldn't work as well on a pad. That might not be true these days.

£2.49 for one of the best FPS campaigns of all time is definitely a good deal (although I think it has been similarly priced before). I believe the multiplayer still has a few people playing too.

The Titanfall II campaign is so good - and just about the right length without being obnoxiously short - that it really should be required playing for any FPS fan. It's not all perfect, but the standout missions are so so sooooo good that it's worth the occasional misstep. Oh, and the tutorial time trial thing at the start is fucking catnip if you decide to actually go for it.

I agree. I even hate modern shooters but I really enjoyed the TF2 campaign.
