Steam sale just seems to keep going on and on. Picked up broforce (2.55) and deep rock galactic (7.99) for the deck for hols init
Dome keeper has just gone one sale down to 5.99, been waiting for a while for this, it's great deck fodder too

While things could probably be improved slightly, I don't think the situation on pc is comparable to that on other platforms.
There are loads of places you can buy games (as steam keys or directly) such as epic, gog, EA launcher, ms store *spits*, and of course things like gamepass.
Plus steam isn't even installed as part of the Os.
Plus pc game prices have dropped significantly since Steam got big.
Plus they allow 3rd party selling of steam keys.
The 30% cut could certainly be looked at, but they do provide a fair number of additional services for that.
I mean, the pc market has basically expanded exponentially, largely due to steam. But it's entirely optional.

From what I read, it looks like they promote the bigger games more which is probably the issue for the smaller game titles.
Why are the smaller games having to pay 30% if they don't get the same exposure as the big hitters?
That seems to be the gist of it but I may be wrong.

Actually, I think EA gave me the first 2 free, if not also the 3rd. I don't remember if it's the Ultimate Editions though.
2.49 is still kinda tempting.. though I really should knuckle down and finish Shadowrun, The Witcher and Skyrim before starting another RPG. (yeah right!)

DAII and DAI have been looking tempting since they have become so cheap, but I don't think I'll bother until there are proper gog versions without the annoying EA b******t. Probably for the better anyway as they don't exactly have the best reputation.
DAO on the other hand I need to give another try. I never finished it (in spite of being really close to the end once) and I think I only played through Return to Ostagar (which was pretty pointless) and Warden's Keep (which was actually decent) and never even got to Awakening.

Turns out I have the ultimate editions of DA:O and DA:I on both EA and Steam. Must have been given away at some point, or there was some ability to tie them across accounts.
No DA2 though.

Grabbed Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate as fairly cheap and the game is getting delisted (I remember paying more for 3 Ultimate at the end of its life so doubt this will get much cheaper) Could be nice on Steam Deck too, even if I do have to restart progress from Gamepass version (not a ridiculous amount though).

You should be able to decrypt your Xbox save and get it onto Steam - I did with FH5 and Like a Dragon (that save from Xbox Series brought via Play Anywhere). Have a search before giving up on your save.
