Would really like to buy Anno 1800 but my laptop is ancient. Do GeForceNow subs ever go on sale?

I’ve gotten the Myst+Riven bundle. Riven runs okay on my macbook M1, even looks amazing thanks to HDR. €26 for the bundle.

Witcher 3 is currently 2.49gbp on steam, or $3.99 on GOG , which is an all time low. (Maybe 2.50gbp on gog for you guys?) It's not the Complete Edition though, and I hear the Blood & Wine expansion is good. Could always grab that later if you want more more more.

I would have never considered these (played the original Myst for a bit when I was much younger but found it lacking at that age) but having seen your post I’m now very tempted. Only other thing I know I’m picking up is Alyx, in prep for the PSVR2 adapter.

Well, that's another ten games for the backlog. Mostly pretty cheap though and two were DLCs. A few that shouldn't be too long as well.

Can anyone recommend a game similar to Celeste?

Haven't partaken in the sale yet, but did go for that new Humble bundle with Penny's Big Breakaway and Arzette in it. Had been tempted by both recently, the former had a good demo but I wasn't in the mood for a platformer at that moment. At £15 or whatever for the whole bundle though? Yes please!
Eyeing up Pacific Drive and BG3 in the sale though, for my sins.

Not directly in the Steam Sale, but this bundle is 100% towards the NSPCC and seems like a pretty decent deal. Minimum of about 5 quid for 16 games, most of which look pretty decent, even if 3 are a bit childish (fits the theme of the bundle, and good if you have kids). I hadn't heard of about half the games, but they all have pretty good steam ratings, and all look decent. (Note that Minit is the racing game, not the Minit game. Looks fun though). www.fanatical.com/en/bundle/nspcc-charity-bundleIs There Any Deal Price and Rating Summary: isthereanydeal.com/bundles/14168/

That bundle is worth it for Entropy Centre alone I think.

Bought Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate for the Steam Deck, and fortunately it looks and runs gloriously at 45fps on high settings. There's at least a dozen other games on sale that I want but I'm resisting the temptation to buy them all... though some are so cheap that it would almost be rude not to.

Currently I"m being very restrained: Luck be a Landlord The Excavation of Hobbs Barrow Attentat 1942 Duck Detective Don't know about the others, but I played Hobb's Barrow recently and really enjoyed it. Very nice creepy M. R. James feel to it, as well as a bit of Lovecraft thrown in. The point and clicking is reasonably straightforward, striking a pretty good balance between the old school attempting to combine everything and use every item with all things in the scene in the hope it works, with the new school of just breezing through everything without having to put any thought into the interactions (personally would have preferred it to lean a little more to the former, but still better than most modern P&C games).

Not that I'd ever encourage anyone to use the fucking thing, but being forced to launch the EA app to run agame has just revealed that there is an up to 90% off sale there at the moment.

I'm skipping sales as my goal is to clear two backlog games for each purchase of new game. And I need to finish the new game as well.
So already had one purchase and one backlog cleared this year. One more to go!

I'm with Lukasz. Also have a big backlog and should really focus on that. I have enough games to keep me going until the next sale with the same prices, probably even have enough to go until the Christmas sale.
I have chucked a bunch of stuff on the wishlist and I may pick one or two up, but only if I manage to finish off a couple of games before the end of the sale.

Just a few VR games for me: Alyx The Room Eye of the Temple
Do they have a refresh of any kind or is just a case of games that are on sale on day one are the only ones for this summer?

Looking at my purchase history I actually played a good amount of what I bought during the spring sale in March. Mostly some pretty small games, but also one big RPG. Still have two bigger turn-based tactics games left over though.
This time around I bought two of the DLCs for Titan Quest and I'm currently working on visiting those with a new character. Playing on Very Fast can look slightly silly, but it does speed things up a bit.
Other than that zagibu has inspired me to get both Roadwarden and Sorcery 1 & 2.
Half Life Source is more a case of being curious about it. They haven't patched it in a while, so it seem somewhat broken, but I'm always fascinated whenever I see how weirdly the more modern technology clashes with good old Half Life.
Also Livelock, a twin-stick-shooter and Child of Light, more of a narrative game if I'm not mistaken. Urtuk - The Desolation is another turn-based tactics game. It seems pretty limited in what it does do, but it seems to do that pretty well.
Deep Rock Galactic because apparently single player mode is perfectly functional and fun... perhaps I should give it a try, just to make sure I don't miss the refund window.
That leaves only Everybody's gone to the rapture, which has been on the wishlist for way too long. I suppose I bought it because people have been talking about Still wakes the deep.

I'm doing my usual thing of waiting til the end of the sale so I can cash in the trading cards.
At which point I usually forget when it's ending and fail to buy anything ;-)

As a big fan of fart jokes, got the South Park Stick of Truth (£5.19) game. As a big fan of marrying my sister and assassinating the horrifically deformed offspring lest they inherit anything important, I picked up some Crusader Kings dlc. And got Victoria 3 (£17.84, tho slight extra discount as HoI4 already owned) because I'm all about child labour and exploiting far flung peoples.
Couple of hours to go, might get that £1.59 batman.

Your friendly neighborhood reminder that the sale ends in a few hours and you should spend more money on games for the backlog!
Anyway, I picked up: Tomb Raider Underworld - I've gone from hating the Tomb Raider mid-makes to loving them. At least until I get a new PoP game. 82p PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate - Looks like a fun co-op game that'll remind me of playing Thrust on BBC Micros. 1.04 The Witcher 3 - Probably never get around to it, but it's cheap enough that it'd be rude not to. 2.49 Shadwen - Janky indie stealth games are my jam baby. 2.85

Everspace 2 is too pricey to consider adding to my backlog, so I got Everspace instead for a couple of quid...
... Which will also go on my backlog and probably never get played.
