Average raid world first is like 6 hours or so probably. The competition mode period is 48hours again though I believe.
I can't imagine it being as easy as RoN, that was quite controversial. 2.5 hours for WF and even my team got done in like 6. Maybe the campaign is seeding some stuff but part of the point of Raids is figuring things out so I doubt it's seeding things that heavy. I haven't played it though so wouldn't know for sure.

Tbf none of the mechanics in the campaign are especially new. Almost all of them are taken from previous popular dungeons or raids, so active players should know about all of them already. That said, the campaign works well enough because they are using a different mechanic and enemy in each mission. |

Personally my expectation is that they'll be aware they went too easy last time out and massively overcompensate this time especially with prismatic and everyone's gonna get put through absolute hell.
Or maybe that's just my hope because I'm skipping it this time.

My worry is that because it's so intrinsically linked to story progression and the end of the saga they have chickened out to drive engagement and accessibility.
Really it should be another Last Wish. This is it. They should be throwing the kitchen sink at this one.

Eh, it's a 48 hour raid window so they have the space.
And if nobody finishes it in contest it'll get cleared within minutes of contest ending anyways. Would be pretty funny if it took the full 48 and came down to a sprint finish. And nobody gets the icon.

Would be pretty funny if someone finished in less than 2 hours and then they'd have to screw around a little longer so people get the Twitch emblem drops.
Anyway, looks like it will take a while. I'm watching a top streamer and they are still on the first encounter.

Literally couldn't even do the first encounter. After working it out we got to the dunking part semi consistently but trying to chain together phases was brutal.
Definitely feels like this one has the difficulty right. LFG will be a fucking nightmare for this raid.

I find the act of watching other people play games weird so I'm very unaware of the streaming scene outside these raids. But that saltagreppo guy seems to catch a lot of shit from the discourse I see online but he's the only one that has had the balls to keep his screen on the entire time. Full respect he's made it worth actually watching.

Safe to say they knocked it out of the park. I think the Last Wish record was 18-19 something and this isn't far away now. No one seems close to figuring out this boss and I can't help but feel there is one more surprise to come, like a Queenswalk v2.

The pre-mission cutscene is very LOTR.
And the final mission itself is suitably epic, if a bit cheesy. Works for me, as a finale of what was, more or less, a 10 years long game.

For what it's worth, the campaign is quite fun, and as far as finales go, I've seen worse. I'm even hyped about the episodes, since they drop hints at tying a few loose ends in them.

Not really bothered with the episodes - don't care for the weekly grind etc. Just want to see the campaign, get some guns etc, play the raid once or twice and I'll be out again.
