You'll get a lot done just camping heavy spawns with colony in MC.
It's mayhem on the rotation next week which might also be decent for it.

Smashed it out this morning by just using witherhoard. Amazing how many people just run into the puddles and die.
Just the filthy lucre step to go now, which looks like it could take a while.

I slept on Traveler's Chosen when it came out, but it's actually pretty good. Given that I gotta grind the catalyst anyway, it might become my sidearm of choice. I haven't found a good one since the Buzzard got sunset. Definitely feels better than Lonesome for sure.

Goes great with the warlock stasis turret. You can continually have 2-3 up.

This particle accelerator mod on the artifact is nuts. Been using it with my adept plug one and 1kv and it shreds stuff.

The base increase to rapid Fusions on its own has been brilliant. I've been rocking a near god roll Zealot's Reward almost constantly since week 1 of Garden of Salvation that seems to have completely flown under the radar of all the balancing tweaks and it's disgustingly good now it's even quicker.

I'm back on this now but already hitting slight roadblocks due to no matchmaking. Would also love to do some raids as haven't even done one on Destiny 2. Some lovely EG peeps took a bunch of us noobs through Taken King on D1 PS4 and it was great.
Now it's crossplay etc are there any relatively active clans? I'm in Town Called Malice since I jumped to Xbox but no one is ever really on.

TCM lads pretty much have all given up on Destiny. Only tel has dipped his ties in this season. May be a resurgence after Witch King but I’m sure it won’t last. A shame, as much fun was had, back in the day.
I also really need to find myself an active clan. I took some time off for a few seasons; hit arrivals but missed chosen and hunt. Got right back into it with Splicer, to the extent I got the seal.
Be good if we could get some of us to arrange time to go do some stuff.

Your bungie name will be your username on whatever system you logged into first this season followed by a hash and some random digits. Should show up on the character screen IIRC, or if you log in to bungie.net and view your profile.

I decided to revisit this and downloaded the free to play version on PS4 Pro but it looked dreadful. The HDR was the worst I have seen in a game. I don't remember the base game looking like this at launch. If I buy the Legendary edition on PS5, does it make the game look better than the FTP? AS in, has the HDR lighting been fixed?

It's FTP on PS5 as well, so just grab that and see. There's no need to buy anything straight away, just get a feel for the game first.
Not too sure about HDR I'm afraid, only very briefly played it on PS5 to unlock my trophies.

That it does. I wish the Series S would let you choose which games to run in HDR mode, then I would disable it for D2 immediately.
Then again, I've preordered Witch Queen already. When it comes out, I'm guessing any new content will be tied to that expansion (or the relevant season pass), while Beyond Light-exclusive content updates will drop to zero. So I might as well uninstall it from the Xbox once that happens.

Also going to christen this thread with my first "Gambit sucks" post.
It's vaguely acceptable with a premade team but it's fucking apallingly bad solo queue. Genuinely resent playing it for pinnacles.
Most matches are against either 4 stack, or you have teammates who literally won't play the mode because they're just doing bounties. And the mode itself is just flawed as hell. Just snowballs like crazy, so if you're victim to a good invade 60 seconds into the match then you just have to wait until the game is over as there's nothing you can do, by the time you've respawned and cleared blockers, the invader is back again.

Getting back into this myself.
My boy has long asked if he could play it, and as a treat for starting secondary school I set him up so we've done a few missions together. When I've had time away from Destiny I always forget how quickly it can get it's claws into you.

I did enough gambit games to get the first two weekly seasonal things done and get a couple of pinnacle drops (which of course ended up dropping in a slot that didn't need them)
It's such a shit show with randoms... You can tell pretty early on which way the game will go and it's just a case of waiting it out.
Worst is when you haven't even got your primevil up and the other team have got theirs down to half health and someone decides that NOW is a good time for them to start invading and unnecessarily prolonging the experience.
