Moonlighter is brilliant. Zelda like dungeons where you get stuff for each kill, then you can sell that stuff at your own shop, set prices for them all then upgrade weapons, armour etc.
Really nice loop to it.

Anyone played spiritfarer and moonlighter? I've played Spiritfarer briefly on PS. I regretted not getting it on Switch because it seems a bit of a pick up and play. Seems like a real gem. Just finished Chapter 11 on Xenoblade DE. It's 🔥 up

I'd add in Superbrothers, it's £1.59. Was amazing on the iPad and haven't played it since. It's only short, but y'know.

Resident Evil 4 plays perfectly fine on Switch and looks great in portable mode. Finished that back in February this year and stuck around to do the Mercenaries stuff too.

I was thinking about a grip too. Always play in handheld. Is this the best, you reckon? Nothing covers the screen does it? Edit: ordered it.

I swear by the split pad pro, but that does look pretty good.

Get Re4 on Switch, Wii (with motion controls) or PC (mouse aiming?)?

I don't have RE4 for Switch or PC, but I did have it for Wii, and motion controls on it felt good at the time.

I swear by the split pad pro, but that does look pretty good. I got a split pad pro a few weeks ago and it's a game changer. Still frustrated with the lack of analogue trigger support on Switch. Basically nerfs any semi-realistic racing game.

It’s one of those unfathomable and infuriating decisions that Nintendo make, to have something that everyone loves and becomes industry standard then remove it because reasons* * reason probably being they can make an extra 1 yen per controller.

It’s a really sturdy piece of kit. Also the grips are easily changeable, and feel like they lock in really well. I’ve put the biggest grip on as that feels most comfortable, but does mean it doesn’t fit in my case. Not that I take it anywhere anyway.. still you can swap it to the smaller grips, and they fit in the case fine. For the price it’s more than worth a punt.

Had a Satisfye before on my OG switch and I'd say these are as good if not better - the interchangeable grips are a great idea

Get Re4 on Switch, Wii (with motion controls) or PC (mouse aiming?)? As Dave mentioned above, it’s a great port on the switch. Weirdly, unless they have patched them in, they don’t have the Wii’s motion control set up. Nevertheless, playing it handheld mode in the dark is pretty great.

Bought this game for Wii (motion controls brilliant) xbox/ ps4 and now maybe switch haha. Just so tempting at 7.99. However with the new one next year and hopefully getting hold of a ps5 by then tempted to hold off. Still trying to work out what and not to get from this sale haha. Backlog anxiety

Backlog anxiety I kinda feel it’s like a bit like browsing Netflix. There’s so many great games on sale, could easily spend a fortune but at the same time I wouldn’t be able to choose one to play. I just end up scrolling for ages through the offer list haha

Credit where it's due, Sega developed analog triggers, not Nintendo. First with the 3D Saturn Controller they bundled with NiGHTS, then they standardized it with the Dreamcast controller. Gamecube controller did have some of the best triggers up until the DualSense though. But Nintendo only used analog triggers the once then never again.

Come back in 5 years and tell me how your DualSense controllers are doing. My GC controller is still feeling brand new.

I get a triggered email from DekuDeals about Celeste now being reduced to less than a fiver.
Went to buy it and they say they have sold out - of a digital game. Obviously a fuck up, but it made me laugh/cry.

I gone back a decade or so with today’s pick ups. Picked up Borderland’s collection (never played them but always had it in my head I’d eventually pick do so. Resi 6 - one of those that I never got round too and alongside 3 the only one(s) i havn’t played. With Kenobi on tv I also picked up Republic commando as well.

oof.
Resi 6 is not good. I think 5 is really underrated, but 6 deserves its reputation, IMO. Graphics are really impressive for being a PS360 game though. There is that. 😬

I put myself through Devil May Cry 2 last year so it can’t be much worse than that 😂. I loved the Resi games growing up on the ps1 but the rest past me by a little bit - sort of, I played 4 a few years late and generally enjoyed 5 to some degree but Missed out on 6. But with the recent remakes i really enjoyed getting back into the series. So been replaying a fair few of them. Six has been the rather noticeable elephant in the room.

Just noticed that moonlighter is on Netflix and spiritfarer a bit later. If I can tolerate the touch controls that will be 12 quid saved for something else lol
