Dawn of Sorrow port is nice! I guess it's cool that Yakuza Kiwami is getting a port, but I'd prefer to have the series on whatever the Switch successor is. Castlevania? That is nice- weird that it's not a collection with the others though What do you mean? Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow is part of the Dominus collection, unless I misunderstood your comment...

I think it's more that we now have three separate Castlevania collections though. And still none of them have Symphony or Rondo of Blood.

Was kind of end of life but there’s some nice stuff in there with the collections etc. Morsels and Peglin looked interesting in the indie side.
Dragon quest will deffo be a purchase and I’m really happy Kiwami is coming to the switch (and hopefully the rest of the series in the future). I enjoyed 0 a lot but always felt that I be more comfortable playing it on a handheld. Similar to Persona I guess with the amount of narrative/mini games etc. It’s a game you soak your self in its atmosphere and take your time with. Got a fair bit through Kiwami but put it aside for something else and never got back to it. Currently playing Judgement at the moment so will probably had my fill for a while but shall purchase it if runs well.

Peglin is quite a decent little game. Quite tempted to double dip that as it'd be excellent for commutes

I've played peglin a few times and each time I just don't find it that engaging.

That's cool though- how are they dealing with the stylus bits?

Star Overdrive looked pretty cool. Not sure I fully understood what I was watching, but it had a nice flow. Powerstone 1 and 2 were the highlight of the show though.

I dunno, but I'm intrigued Recently played through DoS, and TBH the touchscreen stuff can be easily removed/substituted. I actually played a hack which automated the horribly implemented seals and fixed the soul drop rate bug.

I never had a problem with the seals. The DS was an exciting gimmick at the time. Look, you can draw on the screen with the thing. It's good innit
It might have resulted in having to redo the end of a few boss fights again but you fucking draw on the screen and it goes in the game

I haven't gotten up to a boss yet, but it looks like you'll be using the touchscreen. Which sounds like a pain tbh, but there's a rewind feature on the emulation, so I guess you can just rewind if you balls it up.

Ok, I was wrong. No touch screen needed, you just push some buttons in sequence.

Assuming you are talking about Castlevania Dominus Collection, how do you find the ports/emulation? Are they worthy the asking price (which frankly feels rather customer-friendly)?

JuniorFEHow essential is the FE Engage DLC? Is there much story/interaction with the rest of the cast? Are the DLC characters OP? Main draw at the moment is Hector as the game was nice enough to let me know he has been added in an update and I can use him if I pony up I don't think the Three Houses DLC was all that necessary. About 4 characters as I recall and they didn't show up in the story after the DLC chapters or mix with the other characters much

The DLC with the extra bond rings to unlock (Hector, Robin, Camilla, etc) isn't "essential", but there are some fun (and also really fucking hard) maps to unlock them. So if you want more of the game, it's worth the asking price. Some of the characters are pretty broken, too.
The bigger story DLC was pretty disappointing imo. But I didn't get very far, so maybe it gets better towards the end.

I thought Three Houses was ace- I've done two paths. Got one left to do (Blue Lion) but needed a break as the campaigns are seriously long including all the school stuff
Engage seems to continue their fixation with expanding on all the non tactical gameplay elements of the games so I'm expecting another long one. There's now a weird walk around the battlefield after a chapter to talk to randos bit in addition to the hub area, with possibly the most annoying use of invisible walls I've ever seen in a game. We've even got a mascot character this time around- animeeeee
(It's good so far though, honest)

Not interested in breaking the difficulty, especially on a first playthrough

Also playing Hard- only up to chapter 4 or 5 I think but had to use the rewind feature, for shame
I've elected to not bother with the axe character they give you near the start either because his big body and little head weird me out. He reminds me of a goomba from the Super Mario Bros film. Which means, including Vander, I'm 2 units down at the moment

Oh, I meant Maddening or Lunatic, or whatever the hardest one is called. These games have pretty bad difficulty settings, they're imo either too easy or way too hard. I never would have managed it without the DLC characters.
