Yup, Blood Moon is basically a full reset of all non-story boss enemies, animals, materials, shop inventories etc. Fun fact, you can trigger a Blood Moon sooner (sometimes it can even happen in daytime) if you go nuts killing things and collecting materials, because while Blood Moons do happen on a schedule, they also happen as essentially a memory/internal state reset (TIL they're actually distinguished in the code, Debug play reports refer to them as "BloodyMoon - Schedule" at 0x71010E7254 and "BloodyMoon ForMemory" at 0x71007A95B4 (Switch 1.5.0)): zeldamods.org/wiki/Blood_moon

Probably a good idea to start putting stamps on the map for good ore mining spots then. I'm going to be raking it in
I have got the full set of Ocarina clothes now. Needs me some star fragments. I wonder if there's an amiibo for that
Love that instead of moving the ball through the gyro maze in the Hateno shrine, you can just turn it over, use the underside and avoid it altogether

To be honest, you don’t really need to do that. If you’re ever in an exploring mood, you will always find good ore in new places. I don’t think I’ve ever smashed the same ore at any point in any of my time with BotW or TotK and I was eventually overflowing with the stuff.
Obviously it’s however you want to play, but you certainly don’t need to grind anything.

Aunty Treats the best way to make money from ores is (enemy spoiler) Rare Stone Talus farming, tbh. Some Stone Taluses (Tali?) have golden ore deposits for their weak spots instead of the regular ones, and they drop gemstones by the dozen when killed, so just doing a lap of their locations every Blood Moon will have you raking it in easily

Partner and indie showcase, so likely nothing too noteworthy. The usual refrain of "this Direct will contain no new information on the Nintendo Switch successor" had already been said.

They didn't say that Silksong won't be shadow dropped I might actually faint if this finally fucking arrives. Jesus wept, it's *YEARS* later than we were all expecting at this point. Is it the new Half-Life 3?

Is it the new Half-Life 3? Didn't they change engines after all that drama happened with Unity? I imagine that would have pushed the schedule back a bit. Also they're a really really really small team, so maybe it's just naturally taking them ages.

Rings a bell that a well-known developer did ditch Unity in the middle of development, but can't recall who it was. Double checked and Silksong still seems to be on Unity. Would be great to hear something. Last we heard was last year's Xbox summer showcase, where all the games were supposed to be out within a year.

Wasn't Silksong announced to be coming to Gamepass day 1 a year or so back? So very little chance of it being shadowdropped after a direct, I'd imagine.

I feel like I'm going to eat my words for saying this before the Direct ends, but even with quite a few sweet new releases these past couple ones have felt a little like they're going through the motions before the big new console announcement Direct that blows everything up (sometime close to the end of the year, maybe?)

Dawn of Sorrow port is nice!
I guess it's cool that Yakuza Kiwami is getting a port, but I'd prefer to have the series on whatever the Switch successor is.

Given they had a bunch of indie games that looked like student projects, it's fair to say the barrel is being somewhat scraped, yeah.

Any time I see anime bullshit I think "ooooh maybe a new Fire Emblem, be still my beating heart", but it always turns out to be different anime bullshit.
