Most sites are now. Full off click-bait nonsense and lame opinion pieces.

Push square especially seems to attract utter tosspots to the comment section. I can't resist having a look every time an article pops up iny news feed.

Because humans are perverts, Uly. Same reason why whenever a game lets you design a logo, the first thing people draw is a dick.

I have no issue whatsoever with porn, and I obviously love gaming, but not at the same time!

Had a quick try on Star Was Battlefront collection at lunch there. Only tried the first game online for a few rounds. Was good fun old school shooting. Still has that great Star Wars feeling of big battles and lasers pinging from all directions.
I heard that the game was a shit show online, but wasn't my experience at all. Ran completely fine on PS4. Maybe it is BF2 that has the issues though.

Played 1 game. Ran fine but the default controls feel a bit odd.

Yeah the sensitivity is crazy, and even turned down is still a touch quick for me having not played a shooter in years.

The Alone in the Dark remake/reboot isn't getting great reviews - 4/10 from GameSpot, and 6/10 from IGN.

That's a shame. I came on board with the PS1 version rather than the original but does anyone remember the slightly nuts remake for the Xbox 360? A real curate's egg but I loved what it was trying to do. I can still see myself picking up the new one for the right price unless reviews get worse.

Anyone tried The Inquisitor yet ? has a free demo on xbox/ps5. It looks like something I might enjoy albeit it has reviewed very average, but I can live with that. I'm thinking it is a £20 game (or even better subscription), much like the new AitD

Shame about alone in the dark being a bit of a mess and broken. not sure why they got 2 well known actors for a game thats not "AAA" budget game as they can't be cheap to hire. No doubt it will drop in price quick

I thought it was going to be pretty meh, and I know it will drop in price quickly, but... well, I got my Steam wallet ready anyway. Had this planned for a long while, too late to change my mind. And it was a birthday present anyway.
At least PC Gamer gave it a decent 76, so I can only hope they are right. Not gonna read the full review yet though. I wanna play through the game first.

Stardew Valley 1.6 patch dropped on steam and GoG. One of the best games of all time IMO.

So I've played the new Alone in the Dark for a good 3 hours or so this afternoon.
Haven't read the reviews, but I would say the combat parts are very janky, while the adventure parts tend to be quite good imo. The fact that you can play twice with different characters is good, but we'll see if this is more like RE2 (where each path was very distinct) or more like RE2 Remake (where the differences were much smaller). For the adventure parts, the game gives you a choice between modern and old-school, but looking at the menus, I think all it does is give you a bit more hints on the map and highlight some important text. I've started on old-school and haven't had any trouble with the puzzles so far. They aren't much more intellectual than standard Resident Evil fare, but not as immediate either. Certainly nowhere as difficult as in the old AITD1, which is probably a good thing.
So it is janky. That said, for a game made by a 40 people team, I was expecting more of a low budget feel. Instead, I'd argue that the presentation is the strongest point. The mansion is well realized and fun to explore, or even just to admire the attention to details. And I like the story and characters so far. I hope it keeps it, and also keeps the shooting to a minimum.
There is one pretty bad bug. Whenever I try to use a distraction item, my character softlocks and I can't take actions or see interactive cues anymore until I reload the save. This means I can't use distraction items at all. So far they have not been useful anyway, but I sure hope it gets patched quickly.

I've just seen that, this is really exciting news actually as I haven't played that game in years and back then I might have used less than legal means to do so which means I'm more than happy to buy it.

Great news. It is an amazing unique game so deserving to be played again. I got it on release. There were few bugs but darn i had so much fun with it i had to beat it twice to explore different options and endings. So so recommend to anyone who missed it.

I've had it in my steam library for years but never really played it. It seems to work perfectly well so far on a modern PC, and the Xbox controller presets work fine if you're more into that.

Mmmh, I think the demo is not available anymore unfortunately. Impressions seem to be positive. Skill up and ACG already had their reviews out I think. Chopper By the way, how does Last Epoch run for you? I swear the recommended GPU used to be a GTX 1060 but now it has been changed to GTX 3060. Sorry for the late reply!
Running great on my 2080S here; I can't swear on it but I'm sure that 3060 wasn't there originally. It did chug a little in early access in the opening area when they newly added a load of particle effects (smoke etc) but that is all solved now. I've seen a couple of isolated complaints about vsync and screen tearing but I don't have any of that. I would think a 1060 might be ok and worth a try seeing as it can be refunded.
Overall I'm still having a whale of a time (over 600 hours now). Highly recommended if you like super overpowered screen clearing and a vast range of builds!

Would be very MS to buy a company and many IPs, let the studio prefect to make a game based on one leave only to straight away sign them up to make a new game of that IP.

Maybe they are hoping to eat Overwatch 2's pie, since that game seems to have fizzled out pretty quickly.
